This is surely the worst phone I've ever bought (and I've had at least 15 cellular phones of different brands). And it's probably one of the worst phones ever put on the market. I've had nothing but problems with it. The screen wouldn't allways work well, the phone went off when I closed it, the message service doesn't accept french accents (or it cuts your messages in 3 or 4!!), it's sensibility and range is weak, sound quality could be better... Maybe the optional gadgets work fine but for day to day use, the more simpel and cheaper phones do better, I'm affraid. I will never buy Motorola again.

externally its probablly the best phone i saw last year but i must say it tends to get slow if you're on the internet fow too long which can slow down the downloading of music pictures videos etc.

This phone is great. But I do suggest that you get a plastic case to protect the outsidfe, if you are a phone dropper. The Camera is brilliant but I do worn you, try and keep the plastic sheet on the screen if and when you first get it.

just connect your phone with the default data connection to memory card...so you can just copy mp3 files and paste it to your maudio folder...when you browse youre fone...boom, you have all your music and whatever you put in it...HAHAHA

For you fandy to increase your volume just seem your fone like i did..or flash with a monster pack hehe kewl!!!
i have downloaded a pre made audio.cgf or something like that...you just have to connect your fone to the pc and as i posted before just follow that let the p2k commander recognize the fone..if you reach that stage tell me ill write exactly what to do..you just have to browse between folders in your fone not usb ok and locate the audio.cfg just overite that with the file i downloaded or if you have too..then voila...the default value of your volume setting is 01..the max is 06..mine has been set to 06...darn too scandalous loud...hahaha...you can do it..research a lot...MOTOX.com...try it...
as for you aa2ny...flash your fone with the defeult motorola monster pack hehe..itsll be just like new when you bought it..you can download those file in v3x dedicated page..or motox to put it simply hehe my favorite site...for v3x skins search rasputin...its kewl!!

Ah Mhea for you again...yes there is a 2GB micro SD which works with v3x...i have only read 1 brand though and its tested and working...ermm although i forgot the brand and the site where i saw it... >.<
and for the one who says the battery of the v3x is bad...hmmm well if you really run music or games for a long period of time...naturally the battery would be drain...but not that fast...it really lasts i think just right...my v3x has only 64 internal memory though *sob *sob...how lucky you got 128...i cant play need for speed most wanted..hehe it says lack of memory...my MMC is 512...i think only the 128 internal memory v3x can run that game...though it would lag a lot coz it doesnt have 3D acceleration graffix hahahaha...

Hello mhea! Search in google for MOTOX.com or i think that is the actual site already hehe kinda lazy looking for it at my favorites..Dont worry about flashing..just be sure that you do all the right things like charging your battery to the max and let the flash finish dont turn it off..also be sure you are flashing with an open v3x firmware not with voda, orange etc or else your fone would be locked again >.

i believe the motorola v3x is possibly the worst phone of 2006.... rivaled only by the nokia n70 as far as lack of production quality and inspection is concerned, i work in mobile retail and never have i seen so many of one particular model of phone come back with so many different warranty issues. honestly i would buy a 3210 over this phone for the same price.

the camera is superb..same as the mp3. the prob is the battery you have to charge it again... i hate the battery... you need always to bring the charger..

zen,can you recommend a site or a guide for flashing v3x, im still worried and nervous that i might ruin my os for v3x, i woudld want to increase the sound for mp3 and other details.

barbara, price would depend on the store, ex, v3maxx cost 13k in greenhills but in motorola-robinsons galleria it would be 18k.
but you get the same thing, except perhaps the warranty. but my mom bought a v3x after browsing mine frm GH again but it cost 9.5k now than the prev one 1 bought a week a go for 9.3k
phone memory for my v3x 128mb as well made in germany. but i have not found any explanation until now, my office mate also has an internal mem of 128, just enjoy!
last thing, can a 2gb micro sd card work ok with our fone? im thinking of buying either: 1gig:P680.00 or 2gig:P1,200, - cd-r-king branches, cheapest quality mem cards.

i bought mine for only P7500. 2nd hand but it's still pretty much brand new (orig owner had it swapped with a nokia 7390 only after less than one week of having it) and not a recon. bought it at park square in makati (where phones are pretty reliable). i love it. i just hate the mp3 and the external display. and i can't download songs from my laptop without having to download a moto software from the website! argh.

Can anyone please tell me if I could download the Audio Player for my V3X again as it has deleted itself for some reason along with the 2 games. Does Motorola offer any downloads on their site because I have tried updating the software and it just tells me that my phone is already up to date. Id just like to get my music player back so can anyone recommend if I could download or something else from a trusted site?

I had Motorola v3x last Jan 07...the fone was very good all around...the only thing that isnt good in v3x is 1.) the music in my headphones is really low...not to good in bass...2.) the nvidia 4800 3d graphics card which is very powerful isnt enabled..so games with 3d isnt good lags a lot...i already flashed my v3x to the best flash firmware..the volume is max to 06(orig is set to 01)..means even if your volume is 3, the phone sounds like a blast..also edited the volume in earpiece, side keys, lowbat, etc...the camera is so good with best quality 8x zoom. captures videos with mp4 and plays mp4..videos at 8x zoom with pause btn. & unlimited recording (until memory card is full..no 1 hr limit)(orig is 4x only). signal and battery life boost,receive / dialled calls 60..darn im so envious with SE sound quality and games..i love the fone but alas..im not sure if i have earfone prob or what..really not good music quality..i already bought 2nd earpice but sound still sucks...does anyone know about this? is your sound OK? i mean earpiece sound for music? all the sound in my fone is best except for earpiece music..others like earpiece call/external speaker etc...very good...anyone can lend a help for my music? pls email me...really need help..

The iTap predictive texting is very buggy on this phone. After a week or two it will forget words if you keep adding new ones. The memory only seems to be able to hold a certain amount of words and then starts forgetting - and it is quite a low limit. Also if you turn on sentence completion, it can sometimes crash the phone. If you TXT a lot and need predictive texting, then I wouldn't recommend this phone.

Hey Barbra! I bought mine at SM Manila. Last May 16.. Its kinda less than yours cause i bought mine in the price of 10,900 only. Maybe you purchase your V3x in somehow very reputable gadget store and its very objective. Somehow you loose some money cause your v3x costs 15,000..
