I think that the Motorola v600 is a get phone. Even though I don't have it "YET" I think that Motorola should continue to make great phone like it.

Unknown, thanx very much. I've done some more homework, and therefore fully understood your last response. My personal opinion is that the entire cell phone business is a "rip off". The "dongle" that you were talking about, sells for R499 (pirot one from Mobile Action v 7.0) !!! They don't even stock the real ones, because of the price. And you know, I must also purchase a 32K sim, 'cause I don't think that the 16K one will manage !! So, you do get a "free" contract phone, which then becomes a very expensive "free" phone !!! (Ronél).

Ronel, just install the Bluetooth software on your PC/laptop and plug a Bluetooth "dongle" into a USB port. This is available in one package from any mobile phone shop. Very easy and works well.

Unknown, as I understood I HAVE to have a port, in order to communicate with my PC. The lap tops usually have infra red, but the PC's not. If this is not so, will you PLEASE be so kind and e-mail me ?? Where can I get the port, if I do have to buy one ? I'm in Klerskdorp (no such luck in the platteland !!).

Ronel, re your second question: USB PC adaptor is available in South Africa. But why not use Bluetooth rather?

The only competitor to the V600 is the Sharp Gx30, feature wise. The Gx30 though, excels in the feature component, its superior to the V600, though the V600 has fantastic Features as well. I think it comes down to whethher you want class or style. Class and features? Gx30 for sure, Stylish look and creativity (the bluetooth headset included..lol) get the V600, but in my opinion, right now for that price range, either get a V600 or a Gx30, both phones will serve you well =)
