To claire: I dont think you can put an mp3 from an mp3 player as a ringtone. I dont know im getting the phone Wednesday so I really have no clue yet but im not oging to tyr that because on www.freeringers.com you can make like 30 seconds mp3 and use them as ringtones.

I bought the v635 in early June. After four days the front screen stopped working. I sent it to Motorola in TX after many conversations back & forth(they insisted they could not repair it in US). Well, I got the phone back after a month and the front screen was indeed repaired. However, there was now two dents in the phone, they lost the front metal piece and could not replace it! They broke the glue-on bezel which kept peeeling off & they did not put the seal on in the rear where the battery is and simply left it protruding inside!!! Now the phone is coompltely different. The menue is like the v600/v620, I cant change the ring style, there is no more searching by letter(in phone book), and the memo pad is also gone????? It is super glichy. The flex version is: SE5186AXXL10CF
My phone only rings now(by vibrating) in vibrate mode. I cant change the ringtone????
Can someone please tell me what the hell happened at Motorla to make my phone like this??? I appreciate any help...

okay im not on this site a lot so you have to forgive me so im gonna post what i know. i came here when planning 2 buy my v635 to find out info on it and it was an alright decision. i got mine about 3 months ago on ebay for like 300. now its cheaper Y? i dont know but thats a good thing. 2 answer some questions battery life is okay depending on what you use the phone for. talking (a great deal) and mp3 player drains battery. camera is excellent, very good for a phone. everything works fine on mine. with recent calls you can see date and time. all that good stuff. mp3 player takes a while to load but plays fine, make sure that bitrate isnt more than 128.n the greatest memory card it takes i think is 256 which is what i have. uh phone is overall i think fine. but thats my personal opinion. u can put videos and stuff on here but im not sure how. u should try howardforums.com for more info on phones and stuff. hope this helps somebody. o n i recently learned about flashing your phone but im not sure if you would like 2 do this because it can permanently damage it n i think its allegal. im not takin dis chance. hope this helps. sorry its so long

what is the max memory this phone can take with a trans flash card? some phones have like a max of up to 512mb, just wondering if it is the same with this phone!

hi. dus any1 no how to put a mp3 song as a ringtone. i have transferred the song i want onto my fone thru a lead but it has went onto th mp3 player and i have no idea as to how u put it as a ringtone.please help.thanx

It´s a very nice phone, however i still can`t believe that it´s not possible to see date and time of calls. Can anyone tell me if there is some kind of update that corrects this problem? All other features are very good (battery lasts approx. 3-4 days, good photo and video quality, speaker phone very loud and clear).

I have to say that the phone itself is great, nice design, easy to use and packed full of features. So why, oh why did they put such an appalling battery in it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??
It is rubbish, please do not consider this phone if you are a moderate/heavy user. I am probably a mild/moderate user and it lasts less than 2 days! A mobile phone thats not so mobile!

Can someone who owns the moto V635 PLEASE tell me if I put family guy episodes on the phone would I be able to watch them on my phone with the video/sound? Please can someone respond..

Hi. Has anyone tried to fit this phone with a 512 MB TransFlash card? There are 512 MB TransFlash cards availiable and I would like to know if it will work on the phone before buying one. I´ve seen this cards on eBay. Do you guys think that the fact it says "up to 256 MB" is just because the 512 MB cards wasn´t released yet? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Hi there !
Can anyone tell me how can be a camera 1.3 MP with a resolution of 1152x864 pixels ???? It's maybe just me but it looks like 1.0 MP . other that that I think this phone is great and if you don't like the picture or video rec. then why don't you buy a camcorder and digital camera ???? The camera and video is only on this phone for fun or to at least have something to capture those moments when nothing is handy ! Okay it's good also to get a little naughty too ..lol.. If you need a phone as camera and camcorder for your family vacation...well I think you shouldn't complain and be happy :)Try to buy a camcorder for hundred bucks and see what picture quality you will get !
As for the phone I think this one is as good as it gets for the money ! Except that ugly antenna !
And for those who have problems with the caller ID ....... why don't you take it to the service ? Because it does have caller ID ! Maybe your body calls you private !! :)

the v635 is going to evolve to the v635i the same phone with a 512 mb card instead of a 32 mb card

some how i have managed to delete the mp3 player from my phone ???????

I just purchased mine in UK this week via T-Mobile. I noticed the same MP3 ready "No" line which cannot be altered. But I have downloaded MP3 file from PC and it plays OK on phone. I have searched various technical files and web sources for explanation of the "MP3 ready" feature without success.

Hey guys, im by no means a phone expert but I have a few questions. This sounds like a very complete phone and I am interested in buying, but I was wondering why is it so cheap? I can get it for as low as 240 (including shipping and handling). A lot of older models go for a lot more (the v600 is almost 400 dollars on t-mobile.com)! Any reason to why its dirt cheap?
