@100 Moto
Are you aware of any micro-USB -> 3.5mm adapter on the market? :
Yes, you can use that on VE66 or you can use bluetooth hedphones - like MOTOROKR S9.

For music lovers, I would suggest the EM35...which runs practically the exact same software as VE66, only the outer design and cam are different.
EM35 offers 3.5mm plug and some US$115 less than VE66 where I live.
To be honest, if VE66 offers 3.5mm plug like my Zn5, I would probably have gotten one already.

Biggest advantage of 3,5mm jack is that you can easily change the stock headset with something much better in quality, like - Creative, Steel Series, Sennheiser or JVC. Also, using the 3,5mm is more practical and comfortable to insert and pull out, than doing the same thing with an USB connector.

So far the version 1 already impressed me, my friends & relatives so the version 2 should be even better .
If you've time to test out the 4 different settings in the future, it'll be interesting to see the effects on background noises. So far in my country, there's no indication on any new upcoming Motorola models that have Crystaltalk 2 (or Plus). You're luckier over there with wider choices and of course, with the variety of Moto phones you have collected, makes comparisons much easy. I'm happy for you friend.

Bright, Crisp, Clear, Normal.
I haven't tried different setting yet, I can certainly bet even at "normal" mode, the voice quality beats most other brands' offerings.

The Motorola VE66 is a sleek slider with new widgets integration to get real-time information on weather, sports scores, stock tickers, flight information, social media and news headlines. The built-in 5.0-megapixel camera has an LED flash, 8x zoom, auto-focus, image stabilizer, red-eye reducer and automatic color saturation. An integrated MP3 player with USB 2.0 offers high-speed data downloads on a PC. Wi-Fi connectivity connects to hotspots for fast Internet browsing. With CrystalTalk II technology, calls are amplified and background noises reduced for a noticeable difference in clarity. A second microphone enhances audio quality by eliminating ambient background noise from calls.

1)My wife agrees she will use the phone.
2)Additional discount be available through my network service provider.
Not that I don't think it's worth US$300, rather the fact I already bought 17 Moto phones in the past 15 months...feeling quite (if not extremely) guilty.
And if Moto put a 3.5mm jack to VE66, I wouldn't mind to pay as much as US$50 more (like Zn5)
