I bought this phone recently and I was damn impressed by the camera, looks and even the O/S (For a Moto). It seems people here have a preset notion of bashing Motorola products, and this phone deserves more credit than many give. It is built well enough to be dropped from a height(twice) and still function normally, the camera is better than my 5 mpix digital camera, the call clarity is very clear, plus the asking price is more than reasonable.
I say this phone should be recognized as one of the "top 3" as it fits the criteria of being everything a consumer, from basic cellphone user to tech-savvy multimedia &/or music die hard could want

Of course one should shop in China with caution. For some reason when I logged into Moto's online store in China "from China", I had no problem and found things look rather "official".
Someehow when I logged to the same website and clicked on the online store link "outside of China" (simply HK), I was led to another site which doesn't look official.
Though various chain stores in HK are already carrying VE66.

A phone should be designed for CLEAR COMMUNICATION, everything else should be extra.
If a phone can do everything else while can't even offer basic clear voice quality, such as unstable earpiece volume, capturing all the background noise so the person's own voice can't be heard, I don't see any of these phones should have rating for more than 5.

Honestly, something is not right with the voting on the 2 new number 1 and 3 in the rankings. They have nothing to offer when compared to the phones that were there. Is this for real or some early Aprills fool?
