Poor quality of icons and very poor features given
No java support & no usb modem. can be used as just low level MP3 player.Dnt purchase it guys...

please can someone tell me how to set my motorola w230 so that when someone whose number and name is stored on my phone book call me,the name of the person will show instead of the person number,i have done all i could but keep on having the numbers of caller showing instead of the name.dont have this problem with my other handset.......will be grateful for your help.thanks

iam experiencing a problem , the sound is so loud when u talk to someone on phone, cant decrease the volume , any1 know ho to do it. its really painful to the ears

Hello guys,do this thing------
1. Go to MESSAGES and then in the MESSAGE SETUP option
2. You will find a option SMS ALERT
3. Turn OFF this option and restart your phone and send a message to anybody.
4. Notice the phone sounds ALERT TONE yet now or not.
If it is sounding even after turning the option...means....there is a software mistake....i m experiencing this problem.....i went to motorola service centre and they replace phone's software. Even now the problem is not set.
Check all the W230 customers are experiencing this problem or only i am facing such problem.
if you wanna say something about this function....anybody is always welcome.....
But do check this functionality so that better usage can be made of your w230 phone.

i m also using 1 gb card & it's working f9
bt once i copied a WAV file in d card & it didnt worked
bt after removing it

Youre right. Its incredibly slow in copying data to or from the memory card. The hang ups could be the issue of memory card. The one that came with my phone had the same issue. I just got it replaced for a 2gb one and this one works fine.
I agree the keypad is extremely lame. Could have been better.
Screen Brightness Adjusment wouldnt have hurt it either.

i installed a 1 GB card in this phone with MP3 songs copied in it from my PC, but the music library does not detect this card, my earlier card 256 mb was fine, i have tried attaching phone to PC with USB cable, PC detected phone as storage device, but no further songs from PC can be copied on the micro SD card. so how do we use this card ?

I m also using this cell phone and really i dont have any problem in any documents (Word file, Images, Songs etc.) with copy pasting PC to Phone or Phone to PC.

The battery really sucks! And i can't text fast unlike with nokia phones, i can type quickly and the phone can follow. Hope they will make a new battery model for this phone that will last longer.
