hi there!! i just recently have my moto w230 i find it very practical it comes with fm,mp3 player up to 2G memory for the fun and love of music wow dude a lot of songs!!!! and the unusual stuff you can record a clip from fm stations great!! for the price you can compare to nokia 1208/1200 etc. for the unreasonable price they dont have these features uh.. dude!!! i rather pick w230 nice choice!!

I bought this phone some 6 months back. Though it looks very average but voice quality is good. The only problem I'm facing is with the battery back up. The battery gets down afterr listening songs for a hour or less......

whatever amount you paid for this unit still valuable. even a single centavo count.... even i bought this for a very low price, i am still disappointed and still waist of money.... i own this for a week only and after a week i sell it at 50% discount from its original price. i'd rather chose to buy double the price of this unit than having this and will make me fussy everytime i use it specially in messaging. striking the keys made me crazy...considering the main reason of this cellphone is typing short messages to be able to reach the other party....regarding the battery, wow!!! very poor. whats the use of the 2G if you cannot even play the songs specially at times you wanted to listen music. THIS IS JUST A WAIST OF MONEY!!!!!

its in the range of nokia2626 and samsung b200 so u should tell the benefit like it has memory card slot ,fm with recordng and msuic player that ur nokia and samsung dont have

Anonymous, 20 Sep 2008the phone is not play no music and its not ringing please help meYou should do the steps:
1. Music library -> menu(play/pause button) -> Switch storage device (change it to "memory card")
2. Connect the phone to the pc with the usb cable
3. You will find on your storage device a "Music" folder already existing, copy your mp3 songs into that folder, after that disconnect the phone from the pc
4. Now if you open "Music Library", you should find the songs and you should be able to play them...

Creation, deletion, moving around and modification of file names only possible when connected to PC, via UBS cable(as provided) or insertion of SD card into PC then onto W230.

Took me sometime to get used to the MP3 feature(2 weeks, the trick is to create a folder called MUSIC on your SD card, then put all your MP3 files(make sure of the format!!).SD card location under battery.Radio reception is superb here(Johannedburg). Speaker is excellent!!Provided earphones not so great.Just had to get used to smsing as former NOKIA/IMATE user.

Hi!I'm afundi from Malaysia. Just got d phone yesterday (20.9.2008). Thanks for all the comments u guys made. This phone is my 2nd HP now. :) i bought this phone at RM254 (USD74) including 2GB micro SD memory card.No usb cable included but thank goodness i have the cable from the external hard disc that i bought recently (surprisingly it fits with the W230). So i don't have any problems transferring all the mp3s from my PC to the phone.Just connect the usb cable & transfer all the mp3s inside the music folder.Unplugged the usb cable & switch the storage divices to memory card.If u guys like me who wants a music phone without a camera & bluetooth, this phone suits u; sleek, attractive colour (mine is orange), sound is clear, big storage divices, can keep up to 500 msgs & easy to transfer songs.TQ.

Many drawbacks in w230 :
No display brightness control,
No blutooth,
Irritiating messaging,
Inbuilt tones are dude ones,
Cant make file folder which makes music files accessing very irritianting!

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2008how to insert mp3 music to this phone?Connect the datacard between the Mobile and PC USB. Press OK in the mobile and now your mobile is connected to your PC as a memory device. Now you transfer your favourite files (mostly mp3 format) to it. Thas all!!!! You can switch your memory between phone and card.
