This phone is really good.i bought it for £55 unlocked and now i use my orange sim card in it.its really down to the three network the phones on it are great but people dont see its not the phone its the shit network 3.hope they go out of business very soon.make a lot of people happy.

its nice and portable in the pam,but its spare part aer rear in nigeria here,i want memory card for my phne which i can get here and the ussb port can be gotten ,pls ensure possible means pls its urgen

i think the phone iz brill the best 1 ive had but i HaTe the network its toltal crap! i wont 2 unlock it if som1 knows how 2 can you e-mail me PlEaSe!!!! thanx

NEC e228 looks good feels good,it`s a good phone,battery goe`s quick but they do give you two.it`s the 3g network that stinks,unless your a big user or run your own company, it`s us the little people who suffer, if you got one don`t get another until they lift the restrictions that deny you the rite to open your phone to network of your choice, by whoever you want, if your not happy with there network.it`s not against the law to unlock your mobile and it should not be a big deal."virgin mobile does this for nothing on there phones just ring them up & tell them your IMEI number they will send you a code to unlock it and full instructions (good on you richard). they also need to let your credit roll over to the next month, at present "dont use it "you lose it".now to the person named ruwanga who needs or needed usb software for the e228 you said in you review that you have the unlock software for nec,is it right for the e228,and can you email it to me if it is please,if you still need usb drivers i will send to you, or others if need them.or if anyone knows of a place that opens e228,or has program like the one you will find at http://gsmhacking.com/software/nec/e.shtml "that last letter is a L but not capital". the program is called "ALL NEC mobiles with camera unlock software,and that address should take you to it,i have not got it but if anyone has please send it to me, i am having trouble ordering it.they say it opens lot`s of models including NEC e228. if you can help thanks, and i hope i can or have been of any help to anyone else. email is ifielde@fsmail.net

hi all ive just got the nec 228 to replace the motorola a925 the phone is good but if u want to put midi files on it u are restricted to 20 kb very small and it wont play mp3s over 3mb load of crap. Something to do with 3 wanting to rip us off.ps im going back to o2 asap no restrictions

i think the phone is great, 3 is not the best mobile provider in the world but, and i think that their call centre is bad, are they in india does anyone know.

The E228 is a piece of somthing that i can't even discribe, i have used phones but the E228 is Excellent.

I have just bought the nec e228 great phone shame about 3. Does anyone now how to unlock it please to get out of 3's clutches. I think its time 3 had a GOOD look at themselves and listen to its customers. Also check out a few website's regarding them.

I have e228 the phone is good value for money..i have the usb cable and software you can get it from ebay cost me about £7.50inc p&p ..
As for 3 they are totally fukcing sh*t.
You lose all credit if not used in a month ,you have to buy their java games.
And the phone can`t be unlocked yet...
10/10 for the phone 0/10 for 3 ....
Somebody please find ou thow to unlock...

Can anyone tell me if i can change to orange on the nec e228 or lg u8120, both currently on 3. Hate the network, crap, so want to convert to orange. Need to know asap before i go and buy a new phone. Thanx
