                      Hello Tony,

I can’t email you as your email is invalid, but here are the settings

                      MMS

Used the built in 'Orange MMS' profile on the phone.

Access this via Message screen > Menu > MMS settings > MMS profile
                      Select Orange-MMS as the profile
                      MMS centre is http//mms.orange.co.uk

                      WAP

The built-in profile doesnt seem to work on Pay-as-you-go, so you
have to create a new profile:

Select Web browser screen > Settings > Web profile
Click on Connection Profile > Add new, give it a name, then select
                      edit and enter as follows:
                      Load preset - ignore
Profile title - any name you like
                      IP address - 192.168.071.035
                      Bearer type - GPRS
                      GPRS settings:
                      AP name - paygwap
                      User name - Orange
                      Password - Multimedia

                      Authentication - Normal
Usage - should just say: Web Browser

Go back to Web profile, check that:
Connection profile - set to name of profile you have just created
                      Homepage - http://orange.mult imedia

                      POP e-mail

(This assumes you have set up an email account with orange first -
just sign in to 'Your account' at orange.co.uk and follow the
instructions. You should end up with an address of the form
                      username@orange.net)

Go in to Message screen > Menu > Email Settings > Account 1
                      Account Details:

                      the digits)
POP3 password - the password e-mailed to you by Orange when you set
up your e-mail (they would have sent this as a text message)
                      SMTP:
                      SMTP server - smtp.orange.net
                      SMTP port override - 25
                      Authentication - Off
                      Login - Same as POP3 - On

Go back to Message screen > Menu > Email Settings, select

Ken mate, I can't access your site as when I try I get a pop up saying ORANGE SAFEGUARD. Orange has deemed this site unsuitable for under 18s. To remove this setting verify your age with a credit card. LOL I don't have one, and I can't email to comþlain cos I haven't got my email settings, and I can't get my email settings cos I can't access your site, vicious circle. Could you perhaps mail me them please? And the Url for your site if I get it to work, thanks in advance.

This phone is good in some aspects, lacklustre in others. I found the camera to be poor, doesn't appear any better than my L6, orange don't even have the mms or wap settings. The sound is awful, where's the speakerphone? Advertising it as bluetooth. Hah, the 2yr old 616v has exactly the same functions with extra memory, speaker and mem card slot. To top it all off I wanted to go to Kens site but Orange aka God won't let me go there cos it's not suitable for under 18s? I'm 26 but don't have a credit card so i'm barred from almost everything. GRR! Could someone helpful please mail me the full mms settings for Orange? Or text 07837674906. As a reward a site with free downloadable mp3. 3gp. Ani Gif. Wallpaper etc. DRM Mp3 as well. Works on this model. The good points of the 540. Stylish, light, errr.... Nice flashing lights?

i got this phone a few days ago and it is quite good, but there are a few problems, its a bit of a cheek the way they advitised bluetooth, (as you need a headset) and the mp3 function (as you have to buy the data cable seperatly). personally i think the best place to buy the cable is www.amazon.com or .co.uk. that is the cheapest place i have found them but i would advise you to buy the cable to get the most out of your NEC e540. because that will allow you to have mp3's, wallpapers, and ringtones.
