After reading some of the posts here, i find it quite hard to believe that people are still asking why their bluetooth won't send files, and why inferred won't send a full mp3 to the phone, well it looks like people don't read anymore, some of the answers are in the posts here, But to put the record straight, the bluetooth is only version 1.3, and not a full bluetooth, so you can't send files with this version, it can only be used for a headset. The inferred can send files, but it is limited to 1 meg, so that's not enough to send a full mp3. YOU NEED A DATA CABLE TO GET THE FULL POTENTIAL OUT OF THE PHONE. Join this free site for free advice, free wallpapers, and free Ringtones, and free links to the cable. http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/nec_e540_n411i/ we will try to advise, and answer all genuine questions, Ken.

this phone is not for hardcore cell fone geeks.
it is however:
1. very well designed mechanically (robust)
2. piece of art (very beautiful)
3. well manufactured (well-assembled)
my 2 cents' worth,
a new owner of N411i

Was looking for a phone for my daughter to go to secondary school with. She wanted a flip phone so a bit limited as i didn't want to spend a fortune. She is over the moon with this phone. At the end of the day she wants to txt and phone and not much else. The camera and video are a bonus and she has had fun with this, but the whole point of a phone was to be able to contact us if in trouble or to let us know whereabouts. If anyone out there looking for a first phone then this is a good one. The manual is very hard to follow but i worked out what to do in very little time just by pressing the buttons and making educated guesses. Not that difficult really. If you want to txt or just phone occassionally then this phone is good. The price was good too, and i got £15 trade in on old phone at Carphone Warehouse.

Great phone, once you've got the hang of it. Just one problem: can't figure out how to send pics & other files from my N411i to my PC. Have Bluetooth in USB, and other phones have no trouble transmitting data to my PC, but nobody I know can work out how to do this simple (?!) thing using the N411i. The user's manual is, I'm afraid, no help whatsoever.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks.

Personely i think this phone is stylish and really cool but the bluetooth thingy does it work as a "sender of files" like the IRDA (infared) on the e540 model or is it like the n411i where it is used for headsets only kk fanks.

the bluetooth on the phone is only for voice only so it only works for a bluetooth headset to talk to people

The problems with email and mms messaging that people seem to suffer from with this phone is actually very easy to fix.
All the settings can be found and changed in the phone itself its just knowing where to look that takes the time.
Got my phone yesterday and it took me 5 mins to get up and running
Anyone having problems with the mms please let me know by email and i will send 1 back with the remedy
