Nokia 1stly did a great mistake by not choosing android at initial stage now they gave it to the hands of Microsoft and now Microsoft is doing same mistake by changing brand name from Nokia lumia to Microsoft lumia we are seeing Google improvements in android line damn sure they will buy Microsoft mobiles and services in future

You just telling that Nokia didn't have good phone, that is simply not true. I have at home still working and in use Nokia C5-03 which I bought in 2010. Symbian s60v3, touchscreen 640x360 and with weight only 93g and size 106x51x8mm is this phone so small that you simply can't find something similar today. Phone is reliable with good display and wonderful sound. Few weeks ago I did record in stand by without charging with this phone - 19 days.
This phone was only plaqued with small memory and slow CPU, I just missed ability to play video, I was able to play Divx, but it was slow. Otherwise this phone was perfect for all needs.
Shortly after I bought this phone there was well known announcement from Elop, that Symbian is dead. Oops sorry what the h..l? I have working nice phone, Nokia has penetration 40% of worldwide phones, 100 million of users and just announce end?
There was great working infrastructure - Nokia PC Suite, OVI Suite. Things which are still not possible with current phones, like receiving your messages on PC connected via Bluetooth...
In this time Nokia was only slighty behind in HW sense, people just wanted faster CPU, more RAM and better display. OS wise Symbian was as good as any Android in this time.
Speaking about good phones, 2012 Nokia released their last Symbian Nokia 808 Pureview. I have one here on my desk. It was almost perfect phone. Just in contradiction with what you wrote about terrible phones.
But it was too late, this time it was already 1 or 2 years after announcement of Symbian End. This device was simply antiadvertised by Nokia(Microsoft).
Another story is Nokia N9 with Meego. Successful mobile wanted by massess, but just killed.
Microsoft with their secret Agent Elop was only responsible for Nokia fall. Look now on situation and ask for qui bono. I'm sure those are finnish developers (Jolla), or workers in plants in Finland or Hungary.
Every average intelligent man is seeing that and is banning Microsoft and Lumias from their possibility list. This is clearly visible on sales of WP phones, which are destined to remain under 10%...

N9 is a good example for that Nokia was years behind the competition. 2009 would have been the proper year for N9, not late 2011. Nokia N9 from 2011 is the match for the competition phones from 2009. What a shame. They should have to release N9 in that year.

You see, back in 2005 a small company made phones under the brand name of Dopod that was one of the early smartphones with a touch display for navigation. The OS was Windows Mobile 5.0 and that little company, you may have heard of it: HTC.
Point is that Microsoft had a real opportunity there as they were at the right place at the right time, but they blew it. Recall this was 2 years before Apple came out with the Iphone.

What killed Microsoft was their lack of vision and terrible execution. The support for the Mobile OS was S.H.I.T. as was their whole Mobile OS strategy. They didn't come out with a single update for those phones and the 5.1 release wasn't backward compatible with the phone.
Look at the name of the OS, they couldn't even decide how the OS should be used or marketed:
Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC Phone Edition
So please explain how you think that now, in a market dominated by iphones and Androids, you think that MS is going to be the dominant player when at a time when there weren't any dominant smartphone players they became insignificant.

Done with Windows , I will never buy again, phone didnt even last for more than 15 months , freezing issues and what not, that too with normal usage

Ouch, Nokia fans who love the Nokia name won't be happy with that.
I'm an ex Nokia user (10 years). The Nokia brand died back in the late 2000's when they kept pumping out N82 type phones while everyone was going to touch screens.

Looking at the history of Microsoft in the mobile OS, they continue to take steps backwards. Once upon a time they had a file manager and their browser on the mobile OS was just like it was on their desktop OS.
The file manager is gone and the browser on WP is a crippled P.O.S. in my opinion.

The Sailfish OS is good and would finally give Nokia something they could use for a long term, stable, OS strategy to build on that the development community could embrace instead of worry about what Nokia will do to make their lives difficult.

What will happen with Microsoft's adventure into being a phone manufacturer? Look at Motorola and Google for a good example.
Google could have promoted the Moto X heavily and made it a wild success, but they didn't because other Android phone manufacturers made their concerns known (know that Motorola sales went from about 6 million to 45 million phones from 2012 to 2013). So they sold the business off to Lenovo.
Given Microsoft's poor history of supporting their mobile OS with timely updates and basic poor execution of anything that resembles a plan and the concern that other WP vendors will have with MS pushing their own hardware, without a dramatic shift in the way they run their business, it's not difficult to see that this won't end well.

Interesting that nokia can make phones again in a couple of years. We all know they weren't doing well and the microsoft deal pumped a bucketload of cash into the company. Possibly they were looking at the long term. Do the deal with microsoft make phones with windows and then pawn them off to microsoft for a big profit. Pull out of the smartphone game for a couple of years while concentrating all resources on R&D to be competitive again on microsofts dime. Speculation obviously but would be a wise plan.

yaa exactly. Every other smartphone brands are starting from where nokia stops, the n9. its innovative swype gestures, double tap to wake, clean modern ui etc.. i feel so sad about meego :(
