Anonymous, 24 Oct 2014Silly concept. Cellphones are getting dirt cheap and they ... moreNot really, since you often end buying specs you don't want.

For example I am on the market for a 5,5" with no huge bezels and no on-screen buttons. I don't want QHD resolution, 13mp camera, 3GB ram or snapdragon 801.
But I have to buy them all since the only way seems to be LG G3.

Silly concept. Cellphones are getting dirt cheap and they advance so fast that they are replaced every 2 years. What is the point of this? Buying parts separately will cost more than buying a ready to go phone.

The idea is nice but i guess the device is going to be pretty bulky and we don't want that at all.

When this comes out, I think we will see some innovative modules and uses for them. Fingerprint sensor, 3D camera, infra-red sensor and almost anything we can think about...
BUT I wouldnt use this device as daily driver, maybe at home. This won't be waterproof!
