Things would've been better if N97 had a better processor and if Nokia had launched atleast one new phone with Xenon flash.

u wanna know the secret for nokias success - actually not too many ppl wanna buy higher prized phones with 12 mp cameras and symbian what they need is symbian with a dedicated good camera 3g and touch with good functionality interface thats why the nokia 5800 got sold in millions ofcourse they wanna give the first place to quality - so quality wise nokia is still the best . and the s.e. satio didnt get released yet its a big failure even before it gets released , cuz i dont even think about the prize when it gets released , ppl aint that much idiots to show off 12 mp cams in there phones . so learn from nokia . and the prize tags are better in nokias plus ppl want good battery life . thats when samsung and lg gets left behind . increasing battery life of samsung and lg will make em rock in the future . and s.e. plz build some stuff that will be important for ur customers once in a while and u will rock too .

people should imagine the ratio of the average joes from the corporate elite. what's the use of chugging up dozens of ultra high-end phones if there are only a very few target consumers? i mean what is the ratio of the average joe from the elite? about 1 is to 100! hahaha @_@
of course nokia is focusing more on the number of target consumers by providing them mid-range handsets than spending fortunes on elite consumer phones who'll just rot out in the open..

Nokia is good, so is Samsung, Sony Ericsson and even the iphone. Just as Manchester United, Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid are good in football. The most important thing for a mobile company is to lead the market in sales and make profit. Things like quality, advertisements, looks, desirability and everything else are just the means of achieving this goal. And that's exactly what Nokia is doing, leading the market . Just as Barcelona won the UEFA Champions League. You may say Real Madrid or Samsung is good. But you can never say Nokia or Barcelona is bad.

I don't quite understand why many people hates genuine phones from Genuine company made in China. If you know a li'l bit about economics and business you'll understand why many products are made in China and not in Saville Row.

I wouldn't doubt about the result.
Everywhere people uses Nokia phones.
Nokia is simply the best phone out there.
It has all the features of a phone for you to
stay connected from entertainment to work,
multimedia to offices...
see? that's Nokia.

It isn't surprising that Nokia is doing well, even better than SE!
Nokia isn't focusing on the high-end phone market like SE (which did NOT report good Q2 results, btw!) but also on mid-level phones that the General population buys, even producing some low-level phones, too!
Personally, I find the styling very dull (except for the newer Classic series just released that looks good). Many reviewers state that the audio isn't so good so why pay more for a phone with a so-so media player?
Unfortunately, Nokia doesn't make good "basic" phones anymore. Like other phones, it tries to include features that it hopes to lure new customers!
Anyway....
good news for Nokia as it knows what it's doing!
Feel sorry for SE, though, but SE actually deserves it since it did it to themselves but NOT making phones for the GENERAL public! Who can afford high-priced phones?
Many posters sound like teenagers or younger adults and some actually admit they are!
Youngsters have NO clue what it's like EARNING their money (except asking it from parents) and paying off Necessary stuff like rent, mortgage, food, clothing and utilities!
Wished I had many to buy new phones every year!

Nokia are going through a really tough time nowdays an struggling in the Top Class mobile market,but now losing out on the mid-range mobile market,Nokia thought nowbody would outclass them,but Samsung are really showing Nokia they will never get betten,since the N95 we have not seen any improvement from Nokia but Declining,Nokia better realise they have losing loads of customers because there mobiles do not meet the True Value,an the N86 an N97 have not got Nokia a good name but a really bad one,lets see what Nokias got for the 4th Quarter of 2009 to see if they mean business at last

nokia i was your biggest fan, had nokia phones from the start of the mobile era and sadly your phones have degraded totally with other phones surpassing u in every way. im moving to samsung, the brand i hated but they have proved to be top brand. NOKIA U NEED TO ENTER THE 21ST CENTURY!
