I'm afraid not everyone thinks as you do coz if they did then their market share figures would have materially declined, as it is at the moment, Nokia actually increased it's smart phone market share.

Nokia estimated mobile device market share of 38% in Q2 2009, down from 40% in Q2 2008 and up from 37% in Q1 2009.

Nokia's S60 v5 for touchscreen is not that good, no kinetic scrolling apart from the web browser & no word correction or suggestion, win mobile & android have had there’s since day 1.
Non touchscreen no one can beat Nokia Symbian but on a touchscreen phone, win mobile (HTC & Samsung) & Android (HTC) nokia at the moment cannot compete, this may change when the open source Symbian foundation gets released but until then Nokia is now in 4th pace behind Win Mobile, Apple & Android.

i just saw news on BBC. they said that their profit has decreased 66%. and are blaming low demand . um little confused by this news. they are comparing quarters . this might b the case. GSMARENA team....come with answer and more facts

It has got to do with the perspective of reporting. Where as all other major news sites are highlighting "Nokia cuts profit, market share outlook", GSMArena took a different approach and highlighting the positive side of the story.
