I have a lot of respect on SE since seeing their past 2 years result made me feel worried a bit. SE has to change the strategy plan to revamp themselves. They need to release lot of touch screen phones with affordable price like (LG cookie & samsung star). Late arrival of their product after official announcement was a one of their big mistake in the recent days. They have to make sure that they are in the competition in firm

u think s.e. rocks just becuz u brought a s.e. ur self without having a knowledge about a phone and ur blinded by just the childish user interface provided by s.e. and its trade mark . ur too ashamed to agree to that fact that u have brought a very childish product for such a high prize .

Reasons I quit buying Sony:
1. Cheap build quality like chrome paint on buttons that chips
2. Hideous wallpaper and childish interface and icons
4. Releasing Beta phones that reboot and hang.
5. Dropped calls and poor phone functionality like poor caller volume.
6. Long lead times for product release
7. No real business phones

Nokia: the best mobile phone with all communication means
Sony Ericsson: the best entertainment phone with all multimedia features (camera - video - music - games) like k750i.
HTC: the best business phone.
NOW: Nokia did good job and also HTC but SE not the best now in it's field and Samsung or LG will take it's place soon.
Wake up SONY ERICSSON!!!

SE is doomed due to their high price policy and their foolish cleverness with customers, in the past they never produced a complete phone they always kept some specs missing in each phone to be included in the next unit.instead of producing a complete unit they produced two separate units Walkman series and camera series.instead of being competitive and clever with other brands they tried to be clever with customers by doing this they only fooled themselves and other brands ran over them and gained market. SE should understand that to gain market they should not play with the public interests but get played.gain is not in producing small volume with high price but to show mass presence i.e. produce good phones with affordable price tags be with people not against them.

tekken, 19 Jul 2009SE lost a lot of loyal smartphone customers when they aband... moreso true - s.e. deserves this punishment P990 and even w580 were there beta testing units which was released to the customers for testing purposes . various faults and key pad cracking problems plus signal drop downs made people understand what s.e. really is . i hope s.e. drops down to the last bit for what they are doing and some other company like LG or SAMSUNG will come up to the second place after NOKIA

SE lost a lot of loyal smartphone customers when they abandoned them starting with the P990 unit. People paid a premium for that unit only to become beta testers for SE. That was a huge mistake for SE because these are customers willing to pay a high price (ergo, more profit) for their device. I believe SE never recovered from this mistake. They went "downhill" from then on. The customers spoke but they did not listen and stil refuses to do so. This is the price they have to pay.

so true.. sony ericsson has the technology but they are not using it.. satio is going to be a hit for sony ericsson for sure and if they want it to rule the smartphone they have to put that 3.5mm jack in that.. i am waiting for the phone and i will surly buy it.. they need to change there strategy no matter what.. they have everything but they are not using it and i am sure they are not having fun either with all the losses and all..

I' have w810i too and I fall in love with it!!
New phones are not so good and many of them are useless even the future phones like satio, aino, w995 ...etc
for example:
Satio could be has 3.5 audio jack, stereo speakers, kickstand and at least D1 video recording with autofocus.
Aino also can be the best if it has full touch screen without limitation and without hardware numeric keys.
w995 also could be has 2.8inc 16 million colors display and VGA video recording.
I believe that SE have the technology to do that because they did it in 2004.
SE must change their strategy and make real SONY ERICSSON PHONES like my w810i.

im actually a SE fan (oh, how i loved my w810!) but i must agree with some of them here that your last best phones are your P series, and i think you are the first one who introduced these kind of phones..so come up with those firsts again and keep your prices low (remember that we are at a global crisis today), by and by you'll see that you're climbing up the ladder again.. se phs are not crap. for example, w995 and c903 looks extremely suck on photos, but when u really hold and play around with them, they seems to be quite cool, especially w995 made of brush metal which is my taste.
But the problem is that se take soooooooooo long to release . and they dont have 2nd chance in this competetive world. For eg. N86 is there to beat w995. etc. So, yeah see how...

hey sony the reason for downfall is the system itself ex. the p1i there is no reset or to delete past text contact and most importantly the price of your1 unit and when you (sony) HAVE A NEW MODEL IT TAKES SO LONG! TO RELEASE! like my experience y i wait your phone while samsung release much more advance. sony pls think of this!
