In my company, other than my boss using iphone (not 3g). The rest of us (total of 23 people):
18 are using nokia(3 N-Series, 5 E-series, 3 5800 and the rest are normal nokia phones), 3 SE and 1 Samsung and 1 LG.
So you can imagine how popular nokia is in my country.
I am from Malaysia btw. Cheers! =)

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2009Too bad they don't have the iPhone, here in Australia Vodaf... moreDon't just say stuff just to put down Nokia, even Apple fanboys should have brains. Iphone is not the top seller for Vodaphone Austria the last 6 months, it's Nokia, SE and HTC.
Why can't you Apple fanboys just relax and let things be. Why do we constantly have to deal with your lack of self esteem and made up sales numbers.
There is 20 million people in the world using iPhone and there over 5 billion people on the planet. If iPhone was the best seller then it would not only be 20 million users, i hope you understand simple maths.
If Iphone was Austrias Vodaphone top seller then at least half the population would have one, which makes it 4 million iphone users in Austria. You really think Austria stands for over 20% of the worlds iPhone users?
Nokia has over 1.4 billion users, get over it. Apple might be good brand, but it will never outsell Nokia, just give it a rest. Don't need to come into every Nokia thread and try to prove yourself with something that is globally inferior.

Well, the N97 and 5800 is the best selling phones in our mobile retail shop right now. Just this week our shop has sold like 140 pieces of N97 handsets and 85 pieces of 5800. Just in 5 days. Personally i am using a E71 now, and waiting for the E72.

Spikey, 17 Jul 2009I see your point dude, sometimes good word of mouth can cer... moreThanx for your well put out response. I also live in UK and see Vodafone Magic adverts everywhere in papers and on the net. What more would you want them to do?.
You also mentioned something about tarrifs. I would like to say that it's also part of the game as well, i think Vodafone prices the Magic highly coz of the cost of the handset they incur. Compare that to the sim free price of the 5800, and you can easily understand why it has competitive tarrifs and sells millions.
Do you think that the single carrier model of the iphone, magic or G1 really benefits phone makers or harms them? I would have thought opening up a handset to any network would be better for sales. Enlighten me on this one, please.

of course the n97 is top its the only top handset voda have and storm has more software issues than Vista lol i work in cpw and in 800 stores in uk the iphone w995 are well outselling the n97 but as mid range handsets go 5800 is great n97 is overated hugely.
I heard it described as an iphone with a better camera n a keyboard this is simple laughable.
n97 will be riddled with software issue 2 mark my words

They regarded the magic as a potential iphone beater and yet didnt even try to sell it the general public.
A great deal of the handsets on that list sold well in my store largely down to comepetitive pricing and good mins/text packages than on merit.

Impressive Nokia, especially the 103 MILLION phones sold in the last quarter also. Yes, last quarter, not year. That many sold during the worst recession since the great depression.
Not sure how anyone can dismiss this company simply because you don't like there current products. They could release a phone later this year, that everyone will want, even all those who want to upgrade from their iPhone.
Ovistore is weak now, but can you imagine what it will be a year or two from now.

If i'm not mistaken, the Magic is only available on Vodafone thus if there was sufficient demand for it based on it's merits it would surely be topping the charts, but that's not the case.

I work in a Vodafone store, in fact I'm typing this whilst the store is barren. The state of this list is down to two things, our rubbish selection of handsets and our terrible marketing of the few good ones we have, why else would the magic be at the bottom of the list when it has been critically acclaimed? Tmobile sold the G1 well, vodafone marketed the magic with all the gusto of a 90 year olds birthday celebration.
And for the record the n97 is selling well because its big, shiny and looks kinda like an iphone.
Nokia fanboys should not use this list as cause for victory, just as proof that vodafone need some killer handsets and need to market them properly.

Too bad they don't have the iPhone, here in Australia Vodafone's top selling phone is the iPhone (if we can get more stock).
People don't even care about the magic apart from a few geeks and hardly anyone wants 5800's.
