    They could have waited for Windows Phone 10 release to see what the reception is going to be like. Just saying.

      This makes sense, considering I am using only one Android phone (Z Ultra), two Windows phones (Nokia 730 and Samsung Ativ S) and two iOS devices (iPhone6 and iPAd mini)... so this might be the tendency.

        I hope to see dual operating systems by then, would love to have a phone capable of running android and windows.

                    These predictions are pointless as it's unclear what they will do with their operating systems and policies. But ~5% for WP seems unnatural - I think it will either die out or they'll learn from their misstakes and it'll have a bigger market share. I'm betting on the first probability

                      If the economy android phone makers like Xiaomi, Lenovo , Huawei, Asus etc can make WPhones it might be possible

                        I doubt it if we keep getting cheap good phones from Xiaomi,Huawei,meizu and One PLus one. Adroid will dominate.
