iPhone performs as good or better in real life as any other phone, and no sane person would argue that point.
So if you're just looking at specs, be my guest. But don't project your ignorance onto everyone else.

People stick to their favourite brands for detergents, TV's, cars, you name it... why should phones be different? You don't buy the cheapest brand for everything, do you?
But I bet you that first time ownership for iPhones in 2014/15 has gone through the roof too. Don't be jealous.
BTW - here's an interesting fact:
Most if not all phones are plastered with logos on both the FRONT and BACK. Samsung shows its logo on both sides. Apple only shows the Apple logo its back, nothing on the front. It makes a HUGE difference to its brand perception...

First congratulation to Apple.
This results show that Steve Jobs and iFans was/are a big liar. Why? For years they defended to death that a 3.5" screen phone was great for 1 hand operational, any larger screen than iPhone 1-4/4S are shitty products. Next came iPhone 5/5S/5C, they still worship that the 0.5" screen increase it was within acceptable range.
Now came iPhone 6, 6 Plus, BOOMED... there go Apple phablet that all iFans desperately needed to show to Android camp that they have big screen too, well after more than 3 years behind Android camp.
To summaries these phenomenon profits, Apple have not providing best user experience or best user anticipation in the past 3 years. Not until their iPhone 5S/5C showed poor sales in 2013/2014 season. Out of no choice, they changed the old dead & gone Steve Jobs Apple "Golden 3.5" screen only" rules (to hell with it as Steve are gone).
Well done Apple, you've finally listening & providing the answer to your iFans needed deadly.
