Oh what a joke, they have the worst displays, the ugliest in terms of looks, this industry is an utter joke. My Sony Xperia Z Ultra completely outclasses any samsung phone in every ingle department so you can have all the awards you want, doesn't mean anything at all.

While the # of subpixel counts on AMOLED vs LCD may be different the fact remains that the iPhone 6 can't even display an 1080p picture. You need the iPhone 6+ for that.
Average joe thinks the 6 is a 1080p screen and the 6+ is a 'high' dpi screen.

The comparison is similar to the PS4 1080p vs Xbox1 900p scenario where everything is equal except screen resolution. The average joe consumer thinks ("it's only 180p!") when in reality the overall resolution is 20% less pixels.

Simply put, Samsung (and Sony) are producing higher quality screens at higher resolutions. Apple and Microsoft are not as 'close' as they 'appear' to be in terms of 'high resolution'.

Current using S4 Advance, Note 2 4G and Optimus G Pro.
All great devices but soon to be replaced again.

Have to say love this site's honest. Your integrity cannot be questioned. Reason:Saw this report yesterday and other sites made it seem like s6 was superior ( obviously for page views) upon reading the article on these sites the conclusion was the heading of this article now on this site. Kudos to GSM arena

To watch scans/movies with black 0cd/m2 is great. And u can use that to turn off pixels with black to save battery...
There was one thing that Amoled was bad at, brightness.
                Note4 got 400...,compare it to iPhone's 740cd...
S6 got 600cd and thats better than older samsung Amoleds/LCDs.

"The Galaxy S6 has more than double the resolution and more than 4 times the number of pixels as the iPhone 6."

You know DisplayMate is a Samsung marketing partner when it fails to tell you AMOLED have far less subpixel than LED so QHD AMOLED only have 20% more subpixel than 1080p LCD instead of the marketed 100% more.

I do, my old S2 has been in service for almost 4 years and practically shows no burn in issues, even on a blank 50% grey background (where it should be worst).

I'm not saying there are no phones that suffer from it, because there are. But without statistics and a direct relation to usage (retina scorching maximum brightness indoors all the time for example) and an evaluation of the latest (Note 4 and S6) in this regard, there isn't much to say.

I have a G2 and have compared it to the Note 4, it doesn't stand a chance. Note 4 has better colour gamma, much higher contrast and more accurate whites, not to mention much better sunlight legibility and viewing angles (from the sides, the LCD on G2 only has near perfect viewing angles viewed from front and back). Apart from this, saturation can be adjusted to your liking, and the glass has a coating which doesn't get as greasy as on the G2 so pictures don't look a bit smudged.
