Some advances have been made to increase lifespan but to this day, its still a very short one and you'll see degradation in a matter of months. People tend to replace smartphones relatively quickly which is why the displays are viable in this market.

oo, 11 Mar 2015you'd throw out the window the G2 if you had Note 4. cut the crapNop, I have both and I refuse to sell the G2 because it's a great device and it's faster than the Note 4. It flies with a CM12 based rom. Note is better in the camera and sound departments but G2 is snappier and has a better display.

so many haters moaning about their old oled displays- you do realise that OLED upgrades generations every 6 months dont you? - éven my old S3 was brilliant and much better than any IPS panel - but then I prefer the dynamic colours possible through OLED.

Displaymate is clueless. AMOLED is cute and shiny but it does not stand a chance against a high quality IPS. I have both, Note 4 and LG G2 and the G2 display is way better overall, crisp, uniform, no screen burning, whites are white.

Honestly, if you're planning on using the display a lot for at least 5 years. Don't get an AMOLED phone unless you want to replace the display a lot. The one I have (just over 4 years old) is an absolute disaster. Even my cheap TN LCD monitor looks much better than it now. It's very green, uneven, faded and the Android notification bar burned in as it's slightly less green than the rest.

iphone 6 has the best LCD lmao 720p joke. this proofs just how far the ifail propaganda can go. this 720p joke cant even come close to 441 ppi triluminos, super lcd 2-3 nor to quad hd that lg has to offer
