Nokia N86 8MP gets an update, now has face detection

I made an over air update, ovi chat is cool now, and face detection is great, but noticed that the music folder image is gone (menu), and the device got slow in response, especially in messaging and screen rotation, pls. post what u have experienced.

y people always say se copy just to let you knw each and every mobile company is the same software wise they can put all the good feature in 1 phone but theu wouldnt make no money so thats y some phone have good features and some dnt its a business dnt forget

Do you guys really think this firmware update is for the "face Detection " alone??
No, It's an update to fix various bugs, free memory, improve camera, etc . . . They just threw in the face detection in there.
I must admit the headline is miss-leading but it goes to show that no one read the whole article

annon, 02 Oct 2009well ive been on nokia site and ovi and cant see this updat... moreGo to the menu and select applications and then select SW updater and select the on screen update and click continue and the phone will download the update,be sure to be somewhere where there is wifi because the file is big it is about 6mb.

I have just updated the software and its awesome - face detection works a treat and is very accurate- well done Nokia!!!

This face detetion is not working very good...
If it was correct implemented there should be a huge warning near the face of the guy in the article photo:
"GEEK!"

A great update, and to arguably the best 8mp cameraphone on the market. Some of the comments here as usual are just dumb. This and the N82 show Nokia is not lagging behind the photography aspect of mobiles. 12mp? Too soon. Let Samsung and LG and SE fight it out for the best camera with their inferior lens. I was impressed with the Pixon 12 but after Cnet slammed it I decided not to bother.
