Anonymous, 03 Apr 2015The rest of the world doesn't care what you think though. ... moreBecause the Exynos doesn't have an in-built LTE-compatible modem.

Have you been keeping up with the news? Samsung built a LTE-compatible modem called the Shannon 333 that's in the Exynos 7420.

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2015The rest of the world doesn't care what you think though. ... moreIt is because exynos chipsets are relatively new to the market, and it is only now that samsung is using their own manufactured chipsets. Know the facts before spitting out hater comments. And do you know why apple chose samsung to manufacture chipsets for the next iphone? I bet no, because you don't know anything. All you know is being a hater and basher.

just look at the profit margins for apple and samsung per phone... you would think that iphone should be half the price...

Can we expect this in note 5 or tab s2??

AnonD-92477, 03 Apr 2015Oh is that why the S6/S6 edge are so cheap, because they're... moreWhy would that have anything to do with SoC price? They can spend the money on improving other aspects, eg universal wireless charging.
Heck, a crappy phone with gold and diamonds on it will still sell for more.

Everyone else is going to release gimped phones thanks to the 810.

AnonD-92477, 03 Apr 2015Oh is that why the S6/S6 edge are so cheap, because they're... moreIn India, they are actually cheaper than iphone 6 16 gb by 100 usd and muchcheaper than lauch price of xperia z3, z2 last year and even lauch price of note 4 and s5. And Don't you thunk this beast is worth few extra dollars for better performance and display ot provides?? I bet z4 will cost more than this beast in India and m9 and g4 will cost somewhat the same..

It's not like I do not have the money but I do not think that any top smartphones (be it iPhone 6, Galaxy S6, HTC M9, LG G4, Xperia Z4 etc.) is worth paying more than $400,-!

You either buy an S6 or you buy a defective smartphone with bad display, bad battery life and bad performance.

It is always good for the consumers to have more choices. In this case Exynos is proving to become a good alterantive to Snapdragon (premium segment), Mediatek (medium and low segment) etc. Imagine the high prices that Qualcomm is asking for ist Premium Snapdragons because they are currently dominant in that segment!!! Who do you think is going to pay those high Qualcomm margins? Customers of course!

All this useless power made by Samsung...... Yet still,,,,, the latest Exynos lag faaar behing Apple A8 and even A7 when it comes to real performance..... Graphics. I wonder, when they will learn that Benchmark numbers got nothing to do with real world performance.... Their latest phones got innards comperable to mid class laptop yet they just managed to run simple apps like: Facebook, Twitter, Camera App without lag...... I theory, with that kind of innards, you should be able to run Full Photoshop,,,,, I try to imagine of miraculosly loading Photoshop on Galaxy phone,,,,,, it would be Lag Disaster...... Their phones got desktop innards that doesnt correspond to real life performance and simple apps its made for.... Sad, really sad company....

There's a good reason why Exynos is not that widely used, go research it and you'll see why.

power, efficiency, and stability are what we need in the next generation soc's. and exynos seems to be leading the way to a bright future.

Smaller architecture = bigger efficiency, that's a rule.

exynos has been the best chip for a couple of years now. I think Samsung should start making these in a larger qty so that other companies could also use it
