Imagine having a phone as powerful as a PC/xbox/ps4. You wouldn't even need to purchase the latter, just get a phone, and it covers everything.

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2015Its just another dumb trend. Anything above 720p is overkil... moreif they do that(stop increasing resolution) no one would buy newer processors cause we won't need them anymore & they are done then,
look at the newest generation of processors both sammy's & qualcom's they can't give enough frame rate on UHD this means you're gonna need better processors so they can make another phone next year to sell to you
but if it was on HD or FHD it would have been overkill & no improvements meant no market to sell.
it's an easy game they are playing with people.
i can see teasers for next Gen , "excellent performance on UHD now for the first time"(the thing is why would anyone need UHD on a phone?)

Wow all these haters and comments, but no one is posting their results to the PPI eye test that GSM has put up.

If you REALLY think that 1080p is perfectly fine for your, then great. If you look at my previous posts, you will see other people would benefit from having a higher resolution. I would think I am not alone in this segment.

Well the problem is,each one of us know that we actually will not be needing anything beyond 1080p.But the irony is,if one manufacturer brand does a 2k\4k screen, and the other one remain on 1080p,our mind says"hey, why not go for a 4k screen for the same money? And there people faulter see the case of s6 and m9(agreed s6 has a better CPU)but had other specs been the same, our heart goes after a 2k.
In short, its like raising the bar, only apple not in the race

This will come to Note 5 (hopefully) otherwise on Note 6... But will surely be a game changer for the VR fans like myself :D

Finally the Pixel density makes some relevance to me.

For everyone fighting about phones, how about the next Oculus Rift?

Plenty of complaints that the pixels were clear on the models so far, this should help to blend in a virtual world.

If you want bigger, that's a phablet or a tablet!
Bigger means everyone on a 2-4 meter radius of you can see everything you do on your phone - therefore it means lack of privacy!
What worries me is that every flagship will have fingerprint and retina sensors! Wake up people! Freedom will be a thing of the past!

anyone with half a brain knows these phone companies don't cater to needs, they cater to wants. they are driven by the consumers' desires. some of the more practical people may see all this as stupid, but being unable to see the potential it has beyond consumerism makes them equally stupid.
