Samsung acknowledges Galaxy S5 Lollipop update issues

Phone worked fine before update. Now just flashes a galaxy 5 sign on and off unless it is plugged to a charger. Battery loses its charge incredibly fast without use as others have mentioned. I will be very reluctant to update if this problem ever gets resolved

Now my warranty is out I can honestly say samsung I don't think I can risk this again after reading all these comments that people had perfectly good working phones tablets etc and now they are completely useless after the update!!!! Or is this just how you make more money so we have to buy again???

I did the standard software update on my Note 4 on Sunday. Since then my phone shuts down randomly, sometimes when I am doing nothing at all. It takes forever to come back on or I end up having to pull the battery... not to mention the reboot process KILLS my battery. I have always been an advocate for Samsung and have talked my Apple friends into the switch... and this is what I get for it? A nonfunctional brick. Might I add this is the second time this has happened after an update. The last time I had to send it in on warranty and wait a month to get it back. Thanks.

I also had the smart stay turned off but my screen rotation on and the eye was still popping up and freezing my phone. I have since turned off the auto rotation and my phone seems like it is back to normal.

Useless update and needs to be sorted asap!!!

I also updated my S5 Samsung software and lost my GMAIL and my battery looses power just sitting ? How can I get help ?

So what is going on. My charger port won't work 90% of the time since the update. Thought it was my phone but my dad got the update and now his says battery too cold to charge? It's 80 degrees in socalaw! His battery went from 79% to 4% in 20 min just sitting there.
Samsung are you kidding me. Forcing an update ok my phone and then ruining it. It keeps shutting down and going into a download mode. Rebooting, battery drain.
You guys owever me some money after this. It's been almost a week since I've been able to get any productivity out of my phone.

May this is Samsung's way of getting g you to upgrade to new phone??? I'll be going back to apple I'm very dissapointed after the up grade my S5 that I was happy with is now a completely useless with making phone calls or answering them anyone else have this?

Yeah ... moreI have the same thing I left my no problem apple to this S5 and after update can't answer phone calls make them etc.. sent it back to where I bought still under warranty, they sent it back and said nothing wrong with it!!!!!!spent $100 on postage too! Hurry up with new soft ware or why can't I put it back to kit Kat?

Cleared the cache, no joy. Back up and factory reset. Yeah right it didnt back up half my stuff. Lost loads of stuff and the phone is still running like crap. What the hell have you done Samsung. I left apple for you. At this rate. Ill be going back. And i loved my phone prior to this pile of untested crap.
Disappointed is an understatement.

(I wonder if the OS creators get frustrated on their own phones) B) that a few instructions (and a notification that help files are updated) were provided with the changes. C) This is the most important - STOP dumbing down everything. sheesh!
Okay rant is over. Onto my solution...
When you plug into PC via USB, a panel appears with options
Use USB for: O- Charging
O - File Transfer
O - Photo Transfer
O - Software installation
O - MIDI
I had trouble with Photo Transfer (but it's worth a try) so I used File Transfer. Under file transfer, I can see my Phone and my SD card so I can cut copy and paste at leisure.

It has been hardly a week I had buyed Samsung J 5 phone
I am facing trouble during the videos are playing the audio is not working at all
Even while earphones are plugged in or not there is no volume which can be heard
I want my phone to be replaced asap !

My camera is not working at all, nor does skype. (Can't even open them.) Phone,galaxy5,freezes often, shuts down anytime and often,and drains battery.
