It will make the access to the lower keys easier since one would not have to cramp the thumb for effective messaging.

    No No NO.

This cant go well on general phones for people that wants value for money like me.

This should rather be for a diamond spotted Vertu and the hook should be made with platinum and firmly rooted to the phones skeleton.(I bet you it will sell, and please do try to pay me some royalties so that i can use it to buy the latest nokia symbian,Andriod snapdragon, HTC HD2 or the best touchy(Iphone 3gs.))

What the general public need is break trough in technology like
1.Ability to increase the RAM of a phone.(Love to increase my old Nokia E61i ram)
    2.brilliant camera fxns
3.fast processors and more ram (more snapdragons)
    4.Universal connectors (mini usb)

    Thanks

Some of the smallest phones on the market are slide or filp, as small candy bar phones become impratical as the keys become way to small. These designs will only get in the way, a little slide key on the side phone is way better and already exists. The phones mic does not have to be your mouth?!!! How do u think blu tooth work!

That's nothing new to me at all. Just the same concept as those old-fashioned half flip phone like SE W350 or, for older sample is Samsung N100, N200.

Its almost funny, how can you possibly come up with something this stupid..

I find it even more stunning that a respected mobile-review-company-thingy actually pays attention to crap like this..

                      What a retarded idea, haha
Unlocking the phone by pressing two keys works charms, whats the big deal? and there are already mechanical switch to unlock a phone.
Designer X, go back to designers shool!

Afcourse there is a better way to unlock the keys and it is nothing new!!! Its the sliding little button on the side of the phone! This "hook" concept is nothing more but the next extravagant idea pushed forward in hope to move something on the form-factor front where nothing is happening from long time! We dont need alternatives, we need revolution!

                          Great idea,
and may be they have to include a tool for pulling the HOOK because it could be hard if a person is eating his nails.

I don't see the point of this. It looks impractical and fragile - not for the real world at all. It also looks ugly and does nothing to improve the look of a phone. I don't think this will catch on at all and I wonder what was going through the designer's head when he came up with this. By the time you've flipped or slid the hook out, you could have unlocked your phone using the more conventional method. Pointless.

New is a Great Welcome. But, in the urge of making something new one shouldn't fall a target to cynicism and thats exactly how this handset looks like. Especially the protruding stick which really seems bizarre. Not necessarily old things must come to an end and not for this kind of a make atleast :-)Instead of cynosure the manufacturers will only attract criticism. Better not hunt for your own loss. Try making money in some other way. Good Luck.
