- if ur talking about samsung, they too had touchscreen phones b4 apple
- if ur talking about lg they had a capacitive touchscreen b4 iphone
- if ur talking about sony ericsson they had several touchscreen phones and a phone with large internal storage (4gb for its time was pretty big) and a large touchscreen. ring a bell?
- htc and had lots of winmo devices with touchscreen.
- even a no name company such as neonode had touchscreen phones b4 iphone. also neonode was the first company to use flick finger to scroll thru menus and featured slide to unlock. where can i find those features now? iJust dont know

Hey man... never judge a thing you have not tried yet. I know that everybody tries to defend his idea when buying a pricy gadget, All N97, HTC and Omnia owners, but believe me that iPhone users are still steps ahead in standards they've chosen. Try ... before you judge.
I have to add this, when I bought my 1st iPhone, in 2007 the competitors were, N95, HTC Touch/Tytn and SE W960!!!!
They are completely out of competition while I have done 2 major upgrades prepared by apple for free (1.1.4 to 2.1 and then to 3.0) and I'm still in the competition!!!!!

And who said that the goal is to get to the top with the most load? Any smart traveler would always advice you to travel light. And I think that's the most practical thing to do. The iphone can do more useful tasks with its apps than any of your phone, and that is why the iphone packs more features as you go. That's because of all the available apps. And as the title of this article says, the iphone is wanted by all shops. That's because it outsells any phone in its class. And excuse me, the iphone is ASSEMBLED in China, not "made" in China. If you understand english, you should know that there's a big difference between "assembled" and "made". You obviously never touched an iphone if you say that it's made in China. That is such an ignorant thing to say :)

WinMo is great os as template but badly customized, I don't mind even if HTC kick WinMo in favor of Android, as long their devices run their genuine gorgeous and so great UIs I will use their devices that pack serious spec and functionality punch covered with quality built body. Your iPhone is having kak outdated resolution, I doubt that apple will change that anytime soon so you are stuck even if they put maximum amount of colors on it. People say iPhone is fast and sleek, ofcourse it is with so low number of features. Imagine yourself running uphill with 1 load and with 4 loads but that goal is to bring as much loads as you can, iPhone is with that 1, you will reach finish but it's almost worthless. And why is iPhone overpriced? It's made in China, so much from quality materials...imagine Lamborgini produced in China, sounds so unrealistic and cheap. Next iPhone will be atleast 20% expensivier cause of recent debacles with patents. Apple made iPhone 3Gi, if they so love you cause you own their product, why they don't allow you to purchase it? It is built, so it's buildable, it is present, so it is usable and tested, so much from Apple love toward users in reward from users unbelivable loving toward Apple. I told to many, and I tell to you, buy Hero(cause you like iPhone), try it, if you don't like it, then use your iPhone, but stop digging small and unimportant facts just to overslap other manufacturer users. That's stupid, I don't compete, so does other HTC users? Android blasts of iPhone os, and even WinMo shred it into pieces by functionality, only symbian has fallen bellow abit.

But nothing above those basics are present in iPhone. That's why I moved to HTC, and I'm really proud of Touch Pro functionality even if at marketplace there is just few apps. I use it for bussines, organising and some chatting, I don't adore games, for music I have hi-end system at my home, for movies an bluray hd player. I don't need such functions at phone that much. iPhone not bad that much, but it's limits are so tight, great for low range - which is by far the most present on Earth. They got sold only cause of great marketing and using touchscreen that has already been invented by others.

And after iphone(3G) released, all of the sudden the almighty brand released at least half a dozen touchscreen devices....all take longer to any phone with conventional keypad.
