hahahahah... moreactually its possible that apple make a worse iphone. thats basically what they did with macbook air. take away features of a normal macbook and make it more expensive. typical of apple.
this is wat usually/cud happens:
step 1: apple introduce a new product/iphone mini
step 2: make a keynote and just say this new product/iphone is the thinnest and this is obviously important bcos...? . and add a few words like innovation, revolutionary, world's first, no other device like it, really good, works really well (like wat they said/lied about ipod nano camera), we r proud of it bcos..., and no compromise in performance (wat they said wen they introduced macbook air even tho it was slowest mac).
step 3: mac fanboys go crazy for wat they cud hv had yrs ago with any other company and go out to buy an apple sticker on a piece of junk.
step 4: mac fanboys keep telling everyone how easy it is to use and how innovative it is. (even tho it takes longer to call on an iphone than most phones with a keypad and it has more dropped calls - but in a phone thats not wats important to mac fanboys. wats important to them (and they assume the whole world) is the amount of applications they can buy.)
step 5: they notice that other producers hv the features their device has. this is unacceptable for them. ppl r copying apple even tho they had those features before apple did - but to them that doesnt mean anything. since apple has a feature that another manufacturer has, the other manufacturer must be copying.
step 6: mac fanboys try to make fun of other superior devices and cant accept/dont realize that their apple device is no good. if they see someone make fun of their device they say that the person is jealous cos they cant afford overpriced apple stuff or they will say that we shud wait until the next apple device which will be so much better in so many ways. just like iphone 3gs was a total redesign of the previous iphone.
step 7: apple introduce a newer product and the cycle repeats itself.

y wud apple all of a sudden decide to stop gsm iphones? all of europe uses gsm and most of asia. they cut costs the more gsm iphones they make and they know this. so by splitting iphone into 2 versions, they wud not benefit as much from their cost advantage. apple might go to another carrier such as tmobile in the states cos they also use gsm. but so far iphone mini/nano rumors hv all been false. wat makes ppl think its gna come true this time? wat has apple done differently so that ppl can even think that they will release a smaller iphone? nothing. also if apple release a smaller cheaper iphone, its specs wud need to be worse. however, they need to keep some of the specs. for example, they must keep the screen resolution or the app store - the main selling point of the iphone (besides its shiny apple sticker on the back) wud be useless as apps wont fit on its screen. they cud remove gps and compass, make internal storage small, remove 3.5mm jack, use 1.3mpx cam and so on, but wud apple make a phone worse than the 1st iphone they released? apple usually claims that they use high quality materials/components and high tech. they wud hv to come up with something clever to convince ppl that a phone they currently offer is worth the cash eventho its worse than a phone they cud hv offered 3yrs ago. actually nvm, all apple has to do is put a shiny apple sticker on the back and say its small but doesnt compromise specs like they did with macbook air.

Except apps and games on iPhone, everything else so sucks. No widgets, no customisation, no freedom, no decent snaps. It's great for reading and web surfing, I recommend ereader instead, and if you want entertainment, get Hero or HD2 that packs all for double smaller prices.

iDon't think the iPhone will make it to Verizon anytime soon.
Droid did.
The iPhone also launched in China last week with WiFi disabled to meet government requirements.
