I have had the Aino since release. Just after its release I went to the SE website got the latest firmware update and have been smiling since. I cant fault the phone. Always wanted an SE phone got it and love it. Performance is great wether being music playback, video or even the touchscreen which you can only use for the media sside of the phone. My firend got the Aino and sent it back cause it wasnt a real touchscreen phone. Maybe people should look into what they are buying as its not a "full" touchscreen phone.

i still insist Aino is still available on Carphone warehouse.
you can check that online on their webpage.
only satio has been removed.
i do agree that this is a disaster for SE
i haven't heard any similar news like this before about any other phone or other brands.
poor QC

[deleted post]dude you posted this like a billion times already
i've been using symbain for years and it sucks
so what if the first 12mp was symbian
the X10 has 8mp WVGA recording which is more than enough, and on top of that its got a much higher res screen and the UI looks amazing
the Heros got a slick ui too with 5mp VGA recording, thats not bad even if its mid level specs
anyway what about stuff like Capacitive screen and High res, you love the "first facts" symbian did't have highest res or capactive first
it still sucks in res

Amazing! Sony demands such a high premium for its brand and takes so long to get its products to market already (presumably for testing) - these problems are unbelievable and Sony needs to get its act together.

It seems like in order to get first movers' advantage in the market, mobile companies of late are hurried in to releasing handsets without proper examination or compatiability.
we saw sound defects drama last year with Nokia 5800, then we saw samsung jet being recalled, pinkish cam pictures of HTC HD2 frustrated buyers, then satio and now aino... Who knows how long this list goes? maybe N900 next in the line?

I would have given SE more slack if only they would not overprice their phones for the SE Brand.

Some people here are blaming Symbian, symbian is not the problem, it was bad SE programmers.
who buys one of those phones are not going to make it happy, knowing that in the past they had problems

shantanu, 27 Nov 2009seems that now SE is only interested in high-end models and... moreYup! Back on the K750 W810 era, SE excel on both performance and reliability, and it's real performace, unlike the gimmick stuff SE provided these days.

I had a SE S700i for over 4 years, without a single problem. Its just that the brand exists to dent ur pockets. No usb.no 3.5mm jack.no universal memory card compatibility. All propriety. It all has to be SONY which is priced exorbitantly.
Today SE products are slow ca latest technology, have substandard build quality & horrible support.I now own a Samsung omnia HD and im more than happy with it.

Paul, 27 Nov 2009With Sony ericsson products, weather they are good phones o... moreYou are no alone in this. I too wish someone made a phone with the upcoming WinMO 7 and a good camera with xenon flash. That Samsung with 3x optical zoom with Android or WinNO 7 would be perfection itself, as far as I'm concerned. Why are fewer and fewer manufacturers using xenon? Is it that costly? There is no way you can compare the power output of a LED with a xenon flash.

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2009You're absolutely right. There really was a Sony Ericsson e... moreAbsolutely agree, I know people who STILL use K800s and they have virtually no problems with them at all. Sturdy, reliable phones.
I honestly expected the C902 to be similar, and the C905 to be a spiritual successor. Wasn't to be; the return rates on C905s were astonishing, and problems are regularly encountered with the C902.
Now, I'm not saying it's JUST SE who have problems here: Nokia have had their fair share with the N96 and more recently a few with the N97. However, I really expected SE to be back on top form, especially considering how much they hyped the Satio/Idou and how good the W995 is. Having to recall batches of 2 new high-end handsets, especially one which they've been hyping since February, is not a good sign, and isn't going to instill customers with much confidence.
