well......iphone really sucks so dont even try comparing with n900.
iphone is jus a fad....tats why sales went up...but now ppl have realisd this...tats its nothing more than sensitve touch screen which feels good for couple of days....after than comes to functionality where iphone fails..so all those tech geeks and sensible guys out thr..go for n900

Im one of those people who has tried iPhone, but are not convinced. I havent purchased it, just tried friends, and demo phones in stores.
Sure, its responsive, but so is Samsung Jet, and Omnia II... and Omnia HD (though that use capacative screen as well).
The OS is quite easy to use, better than Nokia S60, better than standard Android and standard WinMob 6.1 and WinMob 6.5.
But for me, features are more important than the slight advantage in terms of usability.
And Multitasking, at this point one of the most important features missing from iPhone... if they solve this, more people out there will se iPhone as a true smartphone... but there are some other things missing in the software.. delivery report... file manager... bluetooth transfer...
And in terms of hardware... camera light, better camera, better video-recording, standard USB-port, better resolution in display...
And then, the problems, that probably will never be solved... iTunes, and the locking. cause there are some softwares that you cant get leagally...
So a person that is 100% positive to his/her iphone, done come across as anything else than fanboys, in a technical forum like this.

They dont care if they have multitouch or not. And since I live in sweden, where its a bit cold in the winter, many women wear gloves, and want to be able to answer calls and read sms without having to remove their gloves.
With samsung Jet and Omnia II samsung has proved that sensitivity is not an issue.

Its an USB connector at one end, and nokia charger plug at the other end. So what you mean is that it does not charge over the data-cable.
And Apples solution for charging with USB sucks, since its not an standard USB-port. No where near the solution Motorola has had for years.
Charging via datacable is not all good.When the device use a mini or micro USB-port, you are more likely to stumble across a charger or USB cable, when you dont have your own with you. Thats very practial, indeed.
But, charging the phone everytime you connect it to the computer is not that good. It will strain you battery, and its lifetime will be shortened (unless you only connect your phone when the battery is low and you need to charge the device, anyway).
The only solution for this is not that practial, it would be to have 2 usb-ports on the device, one which is used for charging and/or data-transfer, and one only for data-transfer. So I guess the best compromise is the solution used by most manufactors today, a mini or micro USB-port... its even about to become a standard.
But Apple has yet to implement this.
So in the end, Apples solution is not at all better than nokias, on those phones.
(now many nokias charge with USB-connector, and the N900 is one of them)

I'm sorry but iphone has never offered me anything but some nice games and smoothness. And by smoothness I mean nice transitions and effects on the interface, not quick responsivness as I would have liked.
Why iPhone users keep disturbing other forums I don't understand. Maybe it's a phone mostly used by kids that have plenty of time.

You are a hilarious f-o-o-l. Where did you get the 90% figure? From yourself? Multi-touch is used very often in the Safari app, Photo app and games. More like 90% use multi-touch. Also if your sensible like me, you don't use google maps, you use Navigon, TomTom, etc from the app store. With the copy and paste, the 3.0 software has it and if 90% of people don't know how to copy and paste then that must meet 90% don't need it. Stop making up your own figures.
You obviously are uneducated. The keyword in "widescreen iPod" is "iPod". It is the iPod with the widest screen. Pre hardware suparssing the iPhone? Haha... f-o-o-l. Since when? The hardware on the Pre is almost the same as the 3GS apart from the led flash on camera. The 3GS on the other hand has the necessary feature, it's called autofocus. Who cares about the flash if it doesn't have autofocus. Same can be said to your inferior 6270. Have you used an iPhone before?? I have a Nokia s40 device, the 6288 and the UI is rubbish compared to the iPhone's.

Back on topic, my best friend refused to get an iPhone even though he liked it just because of it's insane popularity. Instead he decided to get the N900. As you can see, iPhone isn't just an overhyped phone.
