Ah, the ipeeps wouldn't admit defeat. Up to this day, it bugs me as to why they are still happily paying for apps which should have been included in their phone, considering that it costs a fortune.

What makes the iPhone that way is that it lacks multitasking. And don't give me that nonsense about not owning a iPhone, i have a new iPhone which a won on a morning radio show while driving to work like 4 months ago. I don't use it anymore, cause as soon as you start filling up memory the iPhone becomes slow to the point of irritation, takes like ages to open sms, files, settings after the you press the icon and the screen goes white etc.
I installed the backgrounder app to try multitasking and the iPhone was slower then a Motorola from 1998. I can't talk for more than awhile before the battery gets Carmen Electra hot and starts running out. So many little annoying issues that alot of iApples ignore just for the sake of being a fanboy.
I went out and got myself the Blackberry 9700 few days back and i couldn't be happier. Iphone have so many serious issues with battery and sars values that it shouldn't even be allowed on the market.

Also, capacitive is more accurate and precise. You do not have to realign or calibrate a capacitive screen like you would with resistive.
The iphone's powerful processor provides smooth UI and better performance which is why most iphone users bought it.

It's not the issue of being superior or not. It's also about what market you ara aiming for. I'm not always in a position to wanna touch the screen with my fingers, for ex eating, working or plain dirty fingers.
And alot of working tasks and envoirments in copy&paste, pdf, document vieing, composing professional emails, marking small objects when surfing etc gives 10 times better and faster accuracy with resistive.
Unlike the "look at me im 12 and have a" iPhone crowd, people that use resistive phones actually use them for important purposes and daily life work and multi tasking.
There are many ways to define superior, you think capacitve is superior based on what? A Ipod with call capibilities? Reistive touchscreen are technologically 10 times more accurate then capacitive. Define superior?

As sensitivity goes, that has turned out to be a myth, check out the Samsung Jet.
If you want good colors and great contrast, samsung is the way to go in terms of display... at least when running a OS capable of all 16m colors.
Sure when it comes to sunlight legiability the iPhone is better than samsungs displays, but considering phones are to a great majority used in situations where sunlight is no problem (in doors, on a cloudy day, at night, ans so on), i rather have great display when I use the phone, than a good display on those few occasions during the summer, and even then iPhones display isnt great, its just good, as there are no great displays under direct sunlight...
About the resolution, sure it has nothing to do with technology, but it sure affects the price.
And when it comes so capable OS, we are yet to see iPhone multitasking, recording videos at a higher res than vga, and processing photos with a higher res than 3 megapixels. Sure, it might be capable of doing all that, but we havent seen it yet.
With symbian, you can do all that with the same CPU.
And with maemo you even get a crazy amount of multitasking, with the same CPU.
as for windows, I dont know any device that run on that cpu, graphics combo... but perhaps it will lag, but that is when u multitask or when you run in to a glitch in the programing. Sure, running winphone without a front end UI is not a great experience, and there iPhone OS would take the upper hand. but Im not convinced that the WinPhone would lag with this CPU, if you dont multitask o run a front end UI.
Android shouldnt lag on this CPU.
Ive never tried palm, but havent heard of terrible lagging either.
So being a capable OS, that has yet to be proven as other OSes do more with this CPU at the moment, than Iphone OS.

N900 look real and strong for serious minded ppl.
And not for ppl that just need a phone for show off or fashion accessory.
