They will do an Android device like everyone else, they will focus on services and let OEM's add bloatware to their phones. Thank god for this news as it saves me taking a chance on the platform before windows 10.

As far as Nokia, MS saved them from themselves.

I feel for Nokia, they weren't just another company, they made the mobile phone into a mass market device. They built extremely reliable robust phones (my first ever one is still working). And now they are nothing. For shame.

Stephen Elop was a troll paid for by Microsoft to get into Nokia, destroy it within, then sell it to Microsoft - then he went to MS, showing his true colours.

I ask the Nokia's chiefe Setfan Elop: Why did you accept the coordination with Microsoft ??? because of the 1.000.000.000 $ you were the stupidest men in the world.

Microsoft made a lot of baaaad decision. First, they start to copy Apple's too closed ecosystem. They copied a lot of Apple specific restriction, at first. For example no memory card support, or BT file transfer, etc. And they try to sell phones with irrational high profit, but there was no quality behind that price. (Cheayp plastic casing, low res panels, cheap SOC-s, and few RAM, etc).

But MS made another serious mistake. Windows Phone was ugly, poor in design and in function, and it was not customisable.
This is another Apple specific "feature" but it was a bad decision, because WP was ugly. And it is not a wise decision to make things non customizable in the OS, when that OS is ugly.

So WP7 was an absolute baaaaaad OS, with horrible UI. This was the reason, why people didn't buy WP, than the low market share caused that developers start to ignore WP. Than the low number and quality of app-s become the reason why the WP market share can't start to growth.

MS had a new chance with WP8, they should rethink the whole concept, change the UI, and so on, but they did not do this. They just make a facelift on WP, and it was a fatal mistake.
As far as we see from WP10, they make the same mistake again. WP never will reach 5% market share.

As I said, MS made a lot of bad decision, started with a bad OS, a bad GUI, and they were too obstinate to change things. Lack of ability to change things, when something is not working, is a fatal mistake. MS killed WP before they even release the OS.
