Considering the fact that one can buy the SG410 based Moto E (2015) LTE version now for just $99 USD on Amazon, it would be extremely shortsighted and disappointing if they went with the some chip and not something more suitable like the SG615.

With 1gb of ram, 8 gb storage and a 720p display...i don't consider it an upgrade, it has no difference with the older version Moto g 2nd gen....it has no reason to named it the 3rd gen

Processor is weak snapdragon. Motorola could have at least purchased Samsung chip same as in Galaxy S6 or Intel core i3 and used it for the Moto G 2015.

I would have to agree. I have a Moto G lte and don't feel this is much of an upgrade. I would stand on what I have or get something better in a Samsung or LG unit. Looks like they are standing still on what they did in the past.

Only 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM... seriously? We're in 2015 -- Android mid-range devices should have 2GB of RAM minimum, and at least 8GB of storage available for the user. In this case 8GB of ROM only leaves about 3.5GB of free space, which is a steal, considering the fact that the size of apps has been increasing and newer Android OS versions require more storage.

Vaans, 11 Jul 2015I think 1 GB Ram is enough for pure Android OS particularly... moreReally? Are you sure Android M's core is C/C++ instead of Java?

I completely agree with what people said about 1 gigabyte of RAM. This must be a piece of misinformation because I am not switching my Moto G 2013 for a 2015 model that has the same amount of storage and RAM. The pictures look good though.

Design looks nice. Did anyone notice the smaller width grill (earpiece) on top? On Moto G 2nd gen, the grill width/size is same on top and bottom. I really really hope they haven't got rid of one speaker (I love the stereo speakers on Moto G 2nd gen) to cut cost.
