its all down to personal preference end of the day...and down to the size of ur pocket !! but whats good about it all is that we have variety and choice of different manufacturers competing with each other...and the fact that everyone can get hold of a smartphone.

      IF your current handset
doesn't lag + play most video/audio formats flawlessly + good camera (for a smartphone) + satisfied with current (OTA, ROM) + battery life
      AND U R
don't care about mobile hi-requirement games + believe in the ultimatum of desktop's office/production applications
THEN there is no need to waste your money on new handset .. use em on last gen console, upgrade your pc, decorate your room ... or buy a great NAS

It was revolutionary in design and functionality. With the G3 they made it more beautiful, and their software improved a ton. It was ultimately held back by a 2k display that was too early to production, since it made bezels larger (than the G2),and hit battery, + display quality, but overall it's still an awesome phone. I didn't upgrade from my G2 (this thing is seriously almost perfect), but the G4 is looking like more of an upgrade over the 2 than the 3 was. Camera on the G4 is phenomenal, the leather is novel and well done... But the phone is even bigger, and has some other issues (mostly new processors being very power hungry). I'm not upgrading because of the size and battery mostly... The G2 holds up very well, but to all my friends who don't have LG phones I recommend them because of the strong blend of design, good software and capable, practically utilitarian hardware.

What people don't like from my opinion is that the UX 4.0 sucks. Icons are not balanced. Colors are not well picked. I'd still prefer G3's

I have tried G4 and for me it is light and fluid, it is dual sim having dual Lte operation, i am having it this september and no other phones could take away my attention from this phone, as you look at it, it is thin with big screen, the more I loved it.

The market is saturated, the mid-range devices are now just as capable as top-end devices of two years ago and those phones are still powerful too. This means that people who have relatively recent smartphones don't feel a big need to get another new one when their old one is still ticking along nicely.

Of cause this is a bit different for most iPhone buyers as they mostly seem to want a new iPhone every time a new one is released. To some I know it's a status symbol so therefore having a new one works. The numbers also work well for Apple Inc because they are the only vendor of iOS devices, so if a person doesn't want Android but still want a complete smartphone experience then iOS is there (I'm not overlooking Windows Phone but the general app availability is a problem, whether real or perceived at this point).

To be honest. Most people that love LG smartphones are disapointed with its flagships since G2, some G3. G4 sels for same money as Galaxy S6 and offers litthe more than entry level with advantage of 1000mp camera and trilion ppi screen that nobody really needs. Lastly the way the brand design their phones lack looks im my opinion since 4X model. I myself had many LG phones and loved their design but the direction this company went made me go for both Huawei P8 and Lenovo Vibe Shot. Good luck for LG, thinking that people will buy their "crap now" phones.
P.S. LG still has best UI in the world ;)

LG, please go back to the drawing board, it's very easy to regain success:

                    - Increase the battery capacity to 3600-4000mAh. That's why you have the LG Chem !
                    - Make the screen smaller at 5.2". It's the maximum bearable size for a regular phone.
                    - Make the top and bottom bezels smaller.
                    - Create a nicer looking pattern for the plastic back instead of the ugly current pattern
                    - Realize that a curved phone is a stupid idea since it hampers the pocketability and it's just a useless feature.

Heck i'd even choose the m9 over the g4 any day. Lg's nothing but hype. Yes they make quality phones but they're boring and there are better choices out there especially with the rise of some chinese manufacturers.
