Did they promise you that they will release a BADA OS ROM for your Jet?
If there are so few apps then you should have thought about it before you bought your phone. You should have bought a WinMo or an Android.

The new Bada OS is in my opinion a really good way. TouchWiz need an opensource system and a new UI. This both are points which im missing in the jet.
The UI of TouchWiz isnt bad but it looks much like comic i find.
When Samsung ables that the Samsung Jet can be updates by this new OS then i can congrulate then!!!!
Why???
Because Samsung have done many things wrong. For Example they promised to provide many apps for the samsung jet also that it will have many smartphone functions. But now every Jet owner see that all this isnt reality.
There are so less Apps and Games for the Samsung jet, its unbelievable!!
That the reason why i think that they must provide this new OS for the old TouchWiz devices. On Samsung Jet u find also so many errors and some basic functions sucks.
If they wont release the new Bada OS for the Jet then i wont never buy a Samsung device because they are outsmarting the people with functions which dont function. Like the Cube, no one needs it.
In Jet the Hardware is really nice but when we look the Software Samsung have done here bad work.
The Jet also works on the Nucleus Cernel so it could be possible to update the Device. but samsung never would do that because they can sell new devices with Bada os for higher price

I don't know why we are getting into cheap handsets or unnecessary OS arguments.
Its about having another option.
So if there is another Vista, we still have another option that has latest technology...

EEwww! That's the ugliest UI I've ever seen! It looks so budget-touchphone-ish!! Disgusting! And those BIG ugly fonts are just ridiculous! The UI isn't even sleek! And there are no transition effects that looks cool!! WTF?? The UI also look very very non-user-friendly!! WTH is this BS!? And right now, Samsung's OS are the least of their worries. They should really really REALLY improve their phones' designs 'cuase they have the ugliest designs EVER!!

Maemo doesn't mean anything. The term was created using a password generator, pwgen. Maemo was a substring of one of the suggested passwords and it was chosen because it sounded good and apparently didn't mean anything offensive in any existing language.
Apparently the word 'maemo' exists in sesotho and means standard.

GSMArena had actually mentioned about it when they first reported about BADA OS being announced by Samsung. Check it out :
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_announce_bada_os_axing_symbian_and_winmo_-news-1245.php
In arabic BADA means "START"
and in Swedish it means "take/taking a bath"
Also in persian/urdu/hindi it means "big" as you would know Rabinder.
Interestingly, if you remove the last "A" ...

One more added to a list of OSes.
But I think this is good, here we see what should have happened to the PC OSes as well.
But Microsoft took a lead and we are all left with almost no choices at all.
Mobile OSes it seems aren't headed for monopoly by one but providing future consumers with various options.
And this is good.
OSes is a platform for application developments that adds value for a particular handset.
