Motorola Backflip photos show off its weird form factor

17 December, 2009
The Motorola Backflip (it's also known as Enzo) is a first for AT&T - it's an Android phone. It's not official yet, but it's a very interesting phone in that it was designed by someone completely lacking spatial awareness...

I think the Droid/Milestone are going to be the top of the line Motorola phones well into 2010. Motorola plans to release about 20 cell phones next year, it seems to indicate they are attacking all segments of the market. Obviously, the middle and low end markets will move more devices, therefore I'd expect Motorola to create a large number of devices to bring in as much high volume sales as possible.

Brief comment: We've probably seen the best from Motorola this year, everything else they release will be 'downgrades' from the Droid/Milestone.

What about a large rectangular device, with only one button, that is sometimes difficult to operate with one hand?

i thought that motorola was making progress, with phones like the droid and the click. but nah, they keep releasing weird stuff that's impractical and won't sell.

I think that Motorola is going in the right direction. A new concept means new costumers, because they can't compete on the normal market.
That handset has definitely better chance on the niche market than Sony Ericson’s Pureness.
