Anonymous, 06 Aug 2015Go buy wp or ios devices, and you'll always get updates. The problem with wp and ios is that they both don't have Google services and Play store which most people like. Some apps can only be found android but not in wp or ios. Especially the custom launcher that remain exclusive to android.

AnonD-426145, 06 Aug 2015I find this title very misleading. Look at the language... moreWhat bullshit are you talking about. Google said 'it will' and Samsung said 'regularly' means that the update will come at least once per month or a few times per months. Regularly as in occassionally within that one month time frame. What make you think they will never do this? I already received numerous update for the past few months even before Samsung decide to work with Google.

I find this title very misleading.

                        Look at the language:
Google, "it will release monthly security updates"
Samsung, "regularly about once per month"

'It will' is very strong language and can be regarded as a legally binding term of agreement. 'Regularly about once per month', is the legal equivalent of saying, we are never going to do this... ever

So the use of the term promise in the title is incorrect.

it means we should be ONLY buying nexus line up since its the first to be updated when needed and first to get the new version. Google should control the update and upgrade process of android
