You see, how bastard Shammy is.
It is very well possible to put SD slot but they simple don't want to do because of selling 64 or 128 version with extreme high prices.
Sneaky move, dirty minded shamesung.
Some of you keep defending it, they want dig your pocket and suck each cents.

For those who decided not to buy this, what other brand are you going to buy instead? Most smartphone now have no removable battery and no sd slot. Is there much of a choice. The only choice is to go for the mid range device. All flagship look the same and have the same disappointing specs.

Yes, the sales were slow, but it was exactly because their phones were not TECHNICALLY good enough. Bloatware, mediocre speakers, mediocre batteries, too many deffects. They only relied on numbers (Excluding battery/mah). So they couldn't win enough people who know what they want. But yes, some still bought their devices, because they felt they don't have a choice with so many phones lacking sd and removable batteries.

So, instead of fixing their weak points, they do the opposite - ignore them and decide to add even more weak points. And again, they are relying on numbers, while user experience is totally neglected.

Now they lost any customers who know what they want and have any common sense left, while the others (fa(shio)n-boys and girls) already have Apple, Sony, HTC...

They made fun by comparing S5 with a medical bandage. That outbreak including slow sales gave samsung a negative feedback and reputation. Because of this kind of response received by the world, samsung decided to join the modern smartphone bandwagon i.e. most of the smartphones these days are sealed batteries with limited memory SD card options. And so samsung joined this bandwagon and now you can see for yourselves. Most of the high end samsung devices are now same like huawei oppo xiaomi lenovo ZTE and most other chinese brands .So now you see their is no difference between the other brands and samsung now. Samsung is now losing its loyal customers just because of the removable battery and SD card. Why samsung was famous just because of dual sim with SD card same time usage option as well but now you see its just like a regular phone i.e sealed battery and dual sim with only 1 option to be used at a time. The last legend will always be the note 3,4 and note edge. I dont think this kind of golden models will ever return back in the future as i believe samsung is on a battle with mr.cupertino. But in the near future we all will see these golden models in the museum with all the sadness.

                                so,
Samsung is trying to follow HTC's strategy with two different variants of its flagship phone, HTC One M7 (no microSD card slot) and HTC One Dual SIM 802 (with microSD card).
and looks where is HTC now?

the bottom line is, the strategy isn't working.

There are 2 reasons for not including SD card slots.
One is fact, the other my speculation.

Fact- memory on s6 series is faster than any SD cards. So to give the illusion of smooth software and speedy loading they don't want you using slow memory cards and posting everywhere that the phone is slow or hangs ,freezes or crashes.. Where most of the time its due to slow memory cards (less than class 10)

My speculation - carriers are slowly removing unlimited data plans (unless u spend loads more for it). So they want you to use cloud for.music and movies ect. Instead of men cards.. So they can rip you off on overpriced data costs when you go over.
The carriers have alot of weight with manufacturers so they are probably also pushing for this to make more money.

That's is the bottom line with all phone manufacturers and carriers .. None of them care about anything but profit
