I have a friend who had repair a Samsung note 3 but the service DECSIS, SA. in Portugal broke displey a shame for Samsung, works very poorly in Portugal.
I'll never buy SAMSUNG.

I now only buy ONEPLUS and is only half the value.

    No SD card option
    No Removable Battery
    Same screen as Note 4
Fancy Smancy Case that will be covered with a case so paying for something that serves absolutely NO purpose.
    Smaller battery than previous models
More prone to damage if dropped
Have to carry "accessories" around now such has charge packs, usb cords and OTG drives to get same "functionality" as previous models.

All this equals absolutely NO reason to upgrade. Sorry Samsung.

Massive let down this year Sammy. The Note faithful are leaving you in droves before you even release the let down.

This looks more like Note K, like kamikaze since it will fail with these specs like S6.
Well they cannot probably change batt or mem size, but maybe price. And thats a small hope with all that glass look.

TheNeighbor, 12 Aug 2015Yup, I too feel my Note 3 has way more features and options... moreThose are only the options and one of them you barely even can confirm. ...aka you are severely exaggerating a bunch of bs.

If those two .....maybe three things are the most important to you then for you keep your note 3 or get the note 4.

However it is illogical to say the Note 5 will have way less options

This is all funny. Ive had note 2 then 3 now 4 and ill stick with it to see if note 6 next year comes back to basics. I want removable battery sd slot and that grippy leather like back cover not interested in all glass phone which will be sliding like piece of ice in my hands. I really hope this phone will be a failure so samsung realises that we dont want another iphone which has a stylus and runs on android. My gf was hoping to upgrade her note 3 to note 5 but since she keeps dropping the phone nearly everyday that glass body is a no go. If samsung sticks with this new philosophy ill be getting note 4 again next year just to have warranty on it. Some say there was no need to upgrade from note 3 to note 4 as changes were rather small, but all together the changes made phone hit that sweet spot of perfection.

note4 has the best endurance rating!

AnonD-424566, 12 Aug 2015Makes my note 3 look like a power house !Yup, I too feel my Note 3 has way more features and options than the Note 5. It won't make sense to "upgrade" to something that has no memory expansion, no changeable battery, and no infrared blaster.I think I'll keep my Galaxy Note 3 for another year.

No point in having UFS being so fast, but when you see past through the hype, your current Galaxy Note works quite fast enough.

Given peoples feedback on the battery life on the galaxy s6, if this report is true I can see there being more complaints about the note 5

I thought the whole point of mobile devices is being wireless. What use is that thinner design form factor when you end up carrying extra stuff thicker than your device itself (like power banks)? Power jackets just can't give you an equivalent 100% charge, heats up every time and becomes dead weight.

The removable battery system is very practical and much more efficient.

                            1. Better battery cycling and thereby longer life. If you cycle 3 batteries, they can be 3 times more effective in holding a charge than a single one over usage. Yes, they will slowly lose charge hold.

                            2. Seconds to get a full charge back than wait hours to charge. It takes only just about a minute, from turning off, swapping, and full boot.

                            3. No need to carry the charger or a heavier power bank. For those days you don't need to carry a bag, just your essentials, your phone and a thin extra battery - all in your pockets comfortably.

                            4. You have a choice of a third party extended battery, even tripling the capacity. Yup, Mugen and Zerolemon offer this more effective secure long power needs that guarantee long power use 100% - every ounce of charge is used, unlike power banks.

                            5. Safer to charge on a cradle than on the device. Forget wireless charging too, as it often contribute heat while while those inductive coils are working. Heat is the number one enemy of current battery technology. Fast charging will also contribute to a shorter cycle life.

                            6. Reduces the chances of theft while charging outside the house. Even with fast charging, you need some 1 hour to charge - you still have to wait and leave it. Yeah there are power banks, but you usually would leave the device alone.

                            7. An extra battery is smaller and thinner to carry inside your pocket. Yes, it's 5mm thick, compared to some 20 to 25mm thick power banks - thin power banks would be pointless if you'll just get to effectively charge your battery by only half.

                            8. When your battery finally gives up, you just buy a new one. Yes, folks - you get 100% efficiency with about $20. A battery has a effective 300 charge cycles. If you're charging twice a day because you're a heavy user, you'll really notice how short your battery power charge is in 5 months.

                            9. No need to pay for more expensive internal battery and wait for days to have it installed.

                            10. Your device becomes practically wireless without the need to plug in via the micro USB most of the time if you just charge the spent battery via the battery cradle.

A sealed battery gives the advantages of a smaller and thinner body, less expensive to make without the extra housing, and lighter. But it has less practicality to me. You'd have to get this which does not give you a full charge and becomes dead weight, or carry a bulky power bank

You'd think with no removable battery and no SD slot there would be more room for a larger battery. Personally I wouldn't mind an extra 5mm thickness for a larger battery

I am so, so disappointed - I have a Note 2 which has been awesome--I talked my wife into waiting for the Note 5 due to rumors and leaks -Now this is what I waited for? I will never see the glass back because it will be in a case! The removable battery, the s pen along with SD card option is what made Samsung different--If I wanted an i-phone I would buy one --come on Samsung!

Samsung has produced innovative phones. Battery and performance sucked with Note edge. What is wrong with them for not introducing external memory. Samsung following apple.

Note edge or note 4 are the best way to go. I am not paying 200.00 more for 128 gig storage when I can get a 128 sd card for about 75 bucks. Samsung shot themselves in the foot. Just watch apple come out with a sd card slot and they will pick up a ton more followers
