Earlier version were... moreIt you have not figured what my comment was aiming for yet, I have to quote that I 'guessed' that Mm 'might turn out to be more optimized and not might not be as RAM-hungry as L' with such a move by Huawei. But who could tell at this point, right? The pail of sodium chloride or the sands along the longest shoreline? But if Mm would turn out to run more efficiently when it comes to RAM usage than previous major Android versions/updates, then I could brightly see beyond the life after The Walking Dead why they might hold onto a 3GB RAM and why 4GB is not imperative but rather considered an unnecessary upgrade. Do not begin to fret though, there could always be that one that generously provide more than what an average consumer needs for a smartphone or even for just a phone like say 6GB of RAM? 8GB? 5GB or more? Realize though, not all of us are spec trolls/nerds

All Iam debating here is that the latest Nexus should not carry the jinxed 810!!!
Just because I cant overpay(speculation) or the other chips are not good enough(LG released G4 with 808 - iam sure they had a reason to step back) does not mean I can choose the 810 if it is not as per expectations.

It wasn't a Myth back then.
LG and Samsung shied away from SD810 back then when the first iteration of SD810 was released and made available to OEMs. And that was the time when they were still conceptualizing and implementing the designs for LG G4 and the S5/S6.
Qualcomm fixed it on the next iteration but you can't simply change the chipset in the middle of Production when you have already made commitments to a production deadline. Hence, the chipset they have used during design was implemented.
As for OnePlus Two, it is possible that to curb the mindset of the overheating "issue", they have clocked it down in favor of consumer confidence. There might be other reasons though...
It is also possible that their thermal logic and algorithms are unable to sustain the maximized clock speed or that the current Cyanogen OS is unable to utilize the intended clock speed.
Whatever that reason is, it didn't affect overall performance and GPU.
So in terms of build and design economics, it is logical for them to use SD810 as it is still a top tier chipset for its value.
If OnePlus will NOT use SD810, would you rather have any other chipsets in mind for the same value? Tegra X1 and Exynos 7420 is out of the question unless you want to overpay. Kirin 950 and SD820 are NOT yet out in the market. MTK Helio X20? Their GPU performance is NOT yet at par with the top chipsets.
So, which one?

I dont know what is problem with S810?
All of these stories about overheating are lies.
I have note 4 (exynos octa core version),and my friend has Z3+ (S810)
After update android 5.0.1 ,my note still overheating like Z3+ or more.
But after update on 5.1.1 on Z3+,it is much cooler than my note 4 with android 5.0.1.
I think that there is problem with compatibilty between Android 5.0 and S810.
If you dont believe me,same situation is on LG G Flex 2,after 5.1.1 update,phone is much coller,performance is better and battery life is grew up for 40%

Definately will choose snap810 device than samsung exy7420 phone.
Indeed snap810 is only decent batery performance but the gpu much much better than note5 performance.
Look at gfxbench 3.0 , the note 5 has drop performance half during on screen test.what da hack sammy??? Please fired all your electronic circuit designer in the rnd team.
Never ever trust samsung gpu arhitechure capability.

I suppose they were all scared by the MYTH!!!!
The issue may not be as it is made out to be but having the New NEXUS device on 810 is a bad decision!!!!!!!
