Most of the reviews in Youtube, Phone sites and forums have compared OnePlus 2 with the S6 Edge and BOTH have the same heated temperature or one is only slightly cooler than the other.
Have you also watched the review and comparison of LG G4 (SD808) vs Samsung S6 (Exynos 7420)?
Reviewers stated that LG G4 has higher temperature possibly due to exhaust design and the use of plastic (metal casings spread and dissipate heat and cools down faster)
As with all smartphones, they tend to heat up during excessive gameplay and other apps which are heavy on the GPU side PLUS 3G connectivity.
Were you expecting an ice cold phone when gaming or connecting to 3G internet?

You forgot that ALL Nexus brands are designed and dictated by Google and NOT the OEMs. OEMs simply provide the build and other inputs.

Tegra X1 is still the most powerful SoC but the Exynos 7420 is starting to level up.
However, the costs of producing these 2 chipsets are impractical and expensive (Samsung overcharges other OEMs).
Hence, I agree with you. In terms of economics and performance, the SD810 is still the better offer. The issue now is how to downplay the current overheating myth and negative image that they got when the first version of SD810 came about.

Wow, forget you Nexus..:( I was so looking forward to the phablet but no longer.. Will be looking else where and/or waiting for so me real innovations.. Shame on you Google, if you put your name on a phone like this.

If people had been so understanding and knowledgable, then they would have know that majority of telephone users are not massive gamers.
Difference between someone using Exynos 7420 and SN810 in daily tasks is marginal. You can still surf, be on facebook and listen music without problems.
Even if clocks are reduced because of overheating issues. Mostly phones are not using even 8 cores when telephone is in usage.

I am more interested in the lg nexus but i like the specs of the huawei nexus so far. Me personally i am not worried about the sd 810 because i don't see all these manucacturers using it if the overheating issue wasn't fixed, and the last thing is remember with the nexus phones you get the android updates first so for me that makes it worth own one.

That's the reality, so huawei chips would not fit. Mediatek? You mean this xiaomi redmi note two budget chip in 28nm with a weak gpu?
Ah, than there is the snapdragon 808 that is worse than the 805 in almost every aspect exept the 64bit .... So also not a good idea...
It's only the sd810 left, its not the question if it is a good chip, the question is, is there any better and the answer is sadly no at the moment.
Also I feel like 99% of the sd810 users have never used a sd810 device, I felt they work quite snappy ;)

Shawn, 25 Aug 2015S810...might be a big enough problem to become a deal breakerIT is the deal breaker, what I can't understand is why use it when they have a on house SoC (Kirin) which their new upcoming model wrecks Samsung's Exynos in every benchmark currently available, they are trying to get in the USA market and using the SD810 was the worst thing they could have done.

It should indeed be 4 GB RAM, simply because its the next Nexus and it should push the boundaries. No surprise on the CPU considering the 820 will apparently not be ready till early 2016. It will put a lot of people off though. Don't they get it that the 810 simply has a bad Rep, justified or not.

Why Huawei, WHY?
SD810 has still overheating issues, even de the One Plus Two has them, and that phone has the "revision" of the SD810.
Bad move, 808 would be better.
Hopefully LG doesn't make the same mistake...
