I am going to stick a bubble gum on top of the S pen!

Both Samsung and the Note5 user have mistakes. True, Samsung makes a design flaw in terms of the SPen. But if you put it in a wrong way, that's your mistake too--it's either you're not careful enough and/or you have not read the manual book.. yet.

you have to be really but really dumb if you put the spen backwards since you will need to put first the part where you click it to damaged the feature so dont complain about it you trolls maybe a kid could do it but not a adult

It does not damafe the phone when you put S-Pen backwards it only damages the S-Pen so a new S-Pen will fix that.

Same here. And I'm Note user since day one.

Stay with Note 4 for now. Everyday shows the 5 as if made from scratch. Lets see next year if they will grow brain in their heads

AnonD-126854, 26 Aug 2015I have answered this your question many times. Here it is ... moreBrand name is also important for premium products.
Samsung doesn't have the brand or service to command premium tag.
Also their software sucks. Iphone 4s rekasedd in 2011 sep will get ios 9 update, but s5 may not get Android M.

Also don't forget small things matters when ask for more money.
S6 edge wont get many of the new features of s6 edge + is taking their users for a ride

And by mediocre I'm not talking about specific specs, or materials, I'm talking about the overall performance (Please, watch this as reference: http://bgr.com/2015/08/25/galaxy-note-5-vs-iphone-6-speed-test/ ), I'm talking about ecosystem, market position, user experience, and most def I'm talking about Value Added (not to be confused with Added Value), good agreements with important carriers, timing, momentum and shit, etc, etc. There's a world of concepts out there and every single of them counts. You are mixing concepts. You keep saying Samsung is trying to give Note 5 a premium look to hunt iPhone users, but putting some glass and aluminium doesn't make it feel premium per se and definitely having good materials is not enough to bring iPhone customers. Otherwise, selling a phone with gold and diamonds would be enough, right? This issue is the kind of drawbacks that send a message, and every single detail in the big league is important. That's why nobody gives a f*** about entry level smartphones issues, but instead a tiny detail in a flagship is the end of the world. Giving Note 4 a continuity and being the starting point for Note 5 and evolve from there would have been a great idea. But yeah, keep saying this is just a matter of having a premium look, which has nothing to do with.

Why is it that everyone who's commenting suddenly suffered an I.Q drop and insists to insert pen all the way opposite side ? You know you spend around $800 buying one of those handsets, at least use it with care maybe, money doesn't fall off trees. I owned several flagships, I also change them on a half yearly Basis and I get almost all my money selling my used Devices cause they suffer almost no signs of usage, also i use no protective covers, just a tempered glass protector. People being so careless nowadays. I Remember I used to pamper my cassiopeia back in the days also it was tough as hell. Again being careless with anything isn't an excuse and I am not a note 5 Fan or anything, it just pisses me seeing all those people cry their tears for not waiting to use their tactile senses.

And shouldn't the owner do the reading regardless of whether it is explicitly stated that the manual is an 'Owner's Manual' or not. It should imply and should entail for a user or an owner to read manuals before using products unless it doesn't come with one - say if one bought a used/2nd hand one or if they are bundled in a disc or through online documentation. Humans are already wise enough to invent the internet and the search engine, why not at quick searching product manuals?

AnonD-126854, 26 Aug 2015I have answered this your question many times. Here it is ... moreIt's got nothing to do with premium, or hunting Pejorative-Nickname-For-The-Other-Fandom-Du-Jour, it's an issue that could have been easily avoided during the design. As I suggested earlier, all it would have took was a 0.5-1mm overhang at the top of the pen with a corresponding lip. Problems solved, looks preserved.

And I agree with many here, you'd have to be a fool to do this deliberately, but accidents happen, and something like inserting a pen backwards is a fairly easy-to-anticipate accident, so should have been caught at design stage.
