Joe, 18 Jan 2010Does it matter which network sells more iPhone?...The fact ... moreWell in the latest research (commissioned by 02) the winner was . . . . Vodafone! Found to have the strongest network available with the Iphone. This was then backed up by research done by the Telegraph newspaper. O2 were happy to come in second but their network cannot support the number of people using data and has a much slower performance lagging behind Vodafone.

forgot to mention that i got unlimited text (3000 text) with vodafone tariff with my iphone which some networks dont give, also vodafone looking at the small print give the most data, as you get 1gb of data browsing and other networks are misleading for example they say they are unlimited but have a cap off 750mb.
well happy with phone and service....about time

Does it matter which network sells more iPhone?...The fact remains is that O2 launched the iPhone first and they are the best network you could go for. I've been with Vodafone, T Mobile and Orange even 3 network and they all let me down. O2 has done a good job so far so if you ask me...Kudos to O2.

VoduK, 17 Jan 2010Im afraid you are wrong there buddy! no interest, what abou... moreDon't get me wrong, I'm not saying there is 0 interest. But there were no queues outside any of my city (Norwich) Vodafone shops on launch day. When the Iphone launched on 02, we had to open some stores at 7a.m. to clear out queues.
I'm not trying to push o2 - in all honesty I prefer Vodafone as a network, but I think they are too late in the game. I'd be extremily suprised in Voda achieved the same amount of sales as o2 at any point. Don't forget that on the launch of the original Iphone, o2 overtook Vodafone as most profitable UK network for the first time, a rank they still hold because Vodafone was too busy backing terrible handsets like the Storm. I doubt Voda will overtake anytime soon...(though Orange/Tmob will once they merge).

Carphone Lee, 15 Jan 2010Absolutely agree. This isn't big news. Anyone who wanted ... moreIm afraid you are wrong there buddy! no interest, what about the 55000 orders we sent out?
lets get this right, o2 have 1.2 million iphone users, after 3 years of having the phone. vodafone had 55000 on one day.
so Vodafone did nearly 5% of o2s base upgrade in one day.
iphone and vodafone together-will smash everyone.

The iphone really rules. No matter how hard haters try to pull it down, its sales figures always proves that the iphone is still the smartphone to beat. Also proves that specs and features aren't all that, and that a smooth, fast and friendly UI is what more customers are looking for in a smartphone.

some ppl here saying that 75gbp tariff to get the 3gs 32gb iphone on vodafone network is too expensive etc...i just want to point out that other networks o2 and orange charging exactly the same so vodafone is no different / or worse... :))))

me, 15 Jan 2010HAHA vodafone you're too late, I was gonna wait to get it ... moreAbsolutely agree. This isn't big news. Anyone who wanted an Iphone has one. There is just very little interest in taking a phone that has been out so long (and which will probably have a replacement coming at some point this year).
I doubt Vodafone Iphone sales will come close to matching the hype they are trying to create.

If you think the prise 699$ is expensive for an iPhone, let me tell you sth. In Iran we have to pay 1,250$ to buy an iPhone. If I were you I would pay 699$ a thousen times to buy one.
