i think it is time to go beyond just expecting a new unlock or JB
users of apple products need to form a coalition.we need to speak with one voice,it is time to seek for a kind of regulation against apple world wide. am afraid the greed of apple is growing beyond boundaries. soon apple might come with a product or software may be firmware that will require you to ask for permission before you do anything personal, who knows may be they are working for the antichrist. Antichrist is the only one who will seek to control everyting and apple is working in that line.
image everything most go through their store, serve even developers are not free.
like saurik said he has little respect for apple
it is time to create a website and allow people to vote for or against apple and the result be circulated world wide.
apple can not survival without consumers pls is time to let apple.
just think this you buy apple product with your own money then you come apple's control.
APPLE IS PRACTISING COMPUTER SLAVERY

The idea seems good, however what has not been addressed is the size of the ipad. Is it really possible to carry it with you everywhere you go. One of the ipone/touches downfall is it's size as it is often to big for a pocket. How exactly are people going to carry the ipad with them to use it. If a person can not have it with them then they can not use it, then they will not buy it

i dont realise what everyone is raging about this thing looks good and for the people that constantly use there iphone in and around the house to check emails and go on the internet its a better alternative for a laptop i think...... alot of people dont need a laptop and just want to access the internet this is a good alternative.

Why would some people buy a Leica camera when the Canon or Nikon have faster and better features? Why would people buy a BMW or Mercedes when a Toyota or a Honda can get you from point "A" to point "B" much cheaply and economically? Why would people want to drive a giant Hummer H1 or a big 4x4 in the city road when a normal saloon car is more then capable of doing the task? Are they all fanboi blinded by Mercedes, Leica, BMW and the lot? If can answer the above then you can guess why they will be people going to buy iPAD.

Hi, it's me again. don't get me wrong, i'm a great fan of apple. i've owned the all the iphones since the begining and trust me they're fantastic. my point is, is it as revolutionary as apple like us to believe. apple do make some wonderful stuff but where does this fit in and does it have a place in the market or is it another apple marketing ??? for the everything is 'wow i must have it' people.
sorry if i've gone on a bit. lol

I don't think it's anything new other than a fat ipod or iphone. In my opinion it's just another better looking and smarter media player and they have been around for years now.
the questions are:
does it have word, excel, powerpoint etc for work purposes?
does ti have a usb slot?
can it multitask? (open multiple programs like laptops)
if the questions are no than why did job put the netbook down in his speech. hope this helps.

What a waste! Apple could have just produced a wonderful convertible tablet pc with power and style. Now if someone buys this thing, they have to get a keyboard if they don't feel like using the onscreen keyboard...dumb,really dumb. It just fails to excite, after all, they already have a smaller version of this thing (the ipod touch)

what apple is contributing to this world is just more junk to spend the money on. apple is like Prada to me. good looking stuff, and expensive just for people who have money to waste.

Look's more or less like a picture frame to me. why's the screen small compared to the size of the thing... too much useless space at the edges.

just like the iphone, the ipad is more a publicity sunt than a good machine. this teatches everyone a lesson. a good machine is not enough, we need to know how to sell it. classical case of it.

Anonymous, 31 Jan 2010Look, here's the thing. I am happy w/ my iphone and its sc... moreYou hit the nail on the head there - Apple is catering for the more fortunate people out there who can afford to have multiple devices. It would be very interesting to see how this thing sells...does the world need a device that's much thinner and lighter than a laptop and offers impressive graphics and touchscreen user experience, but falls very short of providing full computing capability? Apparently Apple shares dropped 3% after the ipad was announced... hopefully not a sign of things to come aye.
