Have a 4 year old 4s. Runs sweet on ios9. Even seem to be getting better battery life out of it. No connectivity issues, no lost calls or data issues. It's great how even the older tech is so stable. Have had a number of colleagues switch to android devices (note 4, s5 etc) most were regretting it within 6 months. I'm well overdue for an upgrade. 6s plus me thinks!!

Hahaha... What a nonsense comment about Android patches... It just goes to show how iSheep continue to be brainwashed and have ZERO understanding over the Android update model, which by the way, makes all CrApple claims about fragmentation also nonsense.
To begin with, Google has removed more and more applications from the OS core, so Android users would never have to deal with an OS update to fix problems in Messenger and the like. The Apple model is archaic and simply impractical, plus it is disruptive for users, who have to go through system updates for something as irrelevant as fixing a few app bugs.
Second thing is that Apple marketing have managed to convince the masses about what is widely consider very bad practice within IT professionals. Nobody who wants to have a stable and reliable system in their business wants to be on the latest version. The whole argument of "look, 50% of iOS users on the latest version a day after it is released" is nonsense, and the best proof is the loads of bugs and problems that iOS users have suffered from in recent releases (a nightmare pretty much since iOS7). Another significant proof is how iOS users themselves have learned the hard way and reserve from updating to the latest release until they can see it is safe. Adoption has consistently slowed down in recent releases.
The whole concept that an Android user is in trouble because s/he is not on the latest version soon is BS. Like I said, Android has its core bound to the very basics of the OS, and the system apps do the rest on their own, including things as core to the system as Google Play Services. What that means is that a user with Android 4.4 and a user with Android 5.1.1 share tons of common things. In fact, one has to be looking real hard to spot differences between Android 5.1.1 and Android 6.0.
The only thing that Apple does better is cover security threats quick, which I agree Google and its manufacturers don´t do well. With the monthly update system that´s been recently put in place, though, that difference should cease to exist soon.
