look at nokia growing up 4000% from 2008 to 2009, it wasn´t even in the list last years, they were part of "other" and now its in 2nd place, wow, and look Androir too, 1000% growth, its amazing, and just wait because we are gonna see androids even in ur soup.

Where I live I see more iphones than 58xx+N97 series combined....and nobody is using X6 at the moment.
The almost 1 year old iphone 3GS is still selling like hotcakes where I live, especially with Vodafone joined the bandwagon. On the contrary, the almighty brand is "pushing" its old 5800/N97 to various operators with heavy discounts.

Just to add another major aspect of the Nexus one and to put a final nail on iphones's coffin is the fact that Nexus one has "TURN BY TURN" with speech NAVIGATION FOR FREE.
Simply Speak your location and the phone turns in to a "Navigation unit" telling you by voice turn by turn to take you to your location. A feature that Iphone doesn't provide unless you pay for it.
End of discussion.

As I said earlier Nexus One-out performs and out does iphone in every category. You don't have to go far to look at the features and specs to see that Nexus One out does Iphone or any other phone when you consider speed, multi tasking, speech recognition in all text writing as well as email and search along with the fastest cpu at 1 GHz processor speed. That is almost 40% faster than Iphone.
The only thing that iphone and apple present that is some what more advantages (although main stream and business people don't care as much) is having more applications. As we speak, Android is out putting apps with better features than iphone. The once "pinch zoom" feature that was the stable signature by iphone is a thing of past since Android has that feature as well.

Nexus one (regardless of their platform, being Android) is already performing much better than Iphone or any other phone on the market when considering all the features it has. I am sure Nokia phones and other competition phones have very good features however what separates HTC-Nexus one "Android" from the rest is the multiple other features that they (the competition) can't perform or don't have the capability to run it.
Everything on Android HTC now runs just as good if not better than any other phone out there when considering all of it's features overall.
Again, I'm sure there are phones that can do one thing a little better than Android, but when looking at all the characteristics, features and performance, Android leaves everyone behind. That was the point in the comments I made. That and the fact that the Android platform is the future when you consider, multi tasking, speech recognition and speech typing in all areas of text, email, search and etc. Something you can't do with any other phone at the moment unless I have missed one!!

In case you forget, if I remember correctly
Motorola released its first touchscreen phone A6188 in year 2000
Motorola released its first 3G touchscreen phone A925 in 2004
iphone 2G was released in June 2007
iphone 3G (non-S) was released around June 2008
How about the almighty brand? First touchscreen phones were 7700/7710, but how many of them have you seen?
The almighty brand REFUSED to release any touchscreen phone until AFTER the release of iphone 3G...around Nov/Dec with its cheapy 5800. (friend of mine got one in Dec for US$141...where one had to pay at least US$300 for iphone, both with contract from the same operator).
Then within 2009, the almighty brand suddenly released over half a dozen touchscreen phones. Why?

I have used cell phones for over 20 years and in all kinds from Nokia to Motorola, Samsung (liked it a lot), Iphone I used through my friends and family, name the brand and platform, I have had it, used them and nothing comes close to the Google (HTC) Nexus ONE phone.
The Android is now what Apple computers were back in mid 80s, which is the future. What Android is doing and the direction is going will leave everyone on the cell phone planet behind and something to think about. The differences between the Android phone compared to the rest, including Nokia-Iphone and the rest will be like driving a car from the 70s with roll up windows to an all out top of the line Bentley with all the modern evolved car.
Iphone has the name now but in about not a distant future, probably within 18 months everyone will see a difference in how the next generation is going to sway toward the Android phone.
Android is changing everything that was once a great idea to a common place in mobile-smart phone world and will evolve in to the future with features that would have been only a dream when looking back.
