Why are there no Symbian phone's with screen resolutions above 640 by x pixels?

giggig, 11 Feb 2010I dont like touchscreen phones ? Reasons being 1) Smudges ... moreI have always liked Symbian, it is the best and most powerful OS out there, ven thou it's ugly. But i have to disagree with your comment, almost all other OS can run both touch and keyboard phones, Windows, Blackberry OS and even Android. The only one that's handicapped is iPhone OS.

bliss, 11 Feb 2010I have used cell phones for over 20 years and in all kinds ... moreI dont like touchscreen phones ? Reasons being
1) Smudges and scratches on phone.
2) cant type fast as i can type with T9 physical keypad.
3) no tactile feed back.
4) too big size, i need a MOBILE phone, which means it needs to be mobile in pocket, not brick.
5) Symbian V3, can do anything which a touchscreen can do, even copy paste text from websites.
there are 200 other reasons why mass majority dont wana use touchscreen phone in long run.
Now you say Andriod is best OS ever, can it be run Non Touch OS, it cant ? so its pretty limited OS, not best in the world, best is that which can run both on touch and non touch, infact only Symbian can do so. Number speaks for them self.

...that's sure some "open" system, ad supported and controlled by Google with a heavy hand.

Android is a platform for Google to sell more advertising based on your usage habits (ignoring your privacy) and targeted specifically at you.
How else will Google get back the $750 million they just spent on Admob?
By giving away a "free" operating system?
You say Android is the future, a Bentley with a flashing billboard on the side and every centimetre of space covered in ads...
...no thanks.

Dont underestimate the power of free map navigation
it would help nokia a lot
in my opinion, people go for iphone is because the multitouch and the use of capacitive screen, and the type of guy who like playiong games on their phpone and nice music

Firstly its isn't not isent, secondly those are the words of a person who has never used an iPhone. The numbers speak volumes, do the maths the iPhone is one of the best selling devices on the market and thats over 2 years its not hype. If it was not good word would spread and they would not sell.
My blackberry will sit in it's draw, Nokia can continue to produce grey, dull and buggy phones and i will stick with my iPhone 3GS with access to over 140000 apps to make my phone my own and make it the most usful smart phone i own.
