I think Microsoft should make their own phones with WP7 like they make their own Zune and not let other companies do it because they never use the OS's full potential unlike Apple does with iphone

Tansen, 01 Mar 2010Honestly I can't imagine what a phone would do with a gig o... moreMaybe they are thinking ahead and adobe photoshop mobile may be available that will need that amount of RAM ?? ..Maybe regular desktop apps may port to windows 7 ?? Having to think ahead is difficult but if this were to happen win 7 would cope else they would have to bring out another variant of win 7 so instead they are thinking ahead,,at this moment no but 3 years down the line who knows whats going to happen and the win 7 platform will be there to cope with it..

With the hardware specs and Moore's Law in mind, I guess so much for "Its not a computer, its a mobile device" point.

Honestly I can't imagine what a phone would do with a gig of RAM. 1GhZ processor maybe, but even 256 and at most 512 MB is more than enough, unless you want to have literally every application running simultaneously. If the concept of Windows phone 7 becomes a reality, then the windows phone could certainly be a big competitor for android and iphone. It was a very risky move for them to toss out everything from before and start from scratch. We'll see how it plays out...

not too impressed with the design, personally am waiting for the htc devices. also from the lg logo upwards it looks like the omnia hd. also since this is ment to be primarily a phone, i dont know how the lack of call/callend buttons will work, as most touchscreens have them.

Physical keyboard + slim form = I love it. If the price is right and HTC doesn't have a better design and specs... I would say that I'll have a LG with WM7 this christmas

LG must have this "I'll make you an offer you can't refuse" mojo a lot than the Godfather it seems at scoring prototypes this year.1st the Moorestown GW990 and now this WP7.QWERTY's not bad but how I wish LG would have figured out how to design the front keys by now.Chrome trims there shouldn't have been included it's a little too blingy.Soft touch sens keys are better or remove altogether a'la N900.Still a good try we have time till q4 this year for them to reconsider the plans.
