Will be interesting how it turns out, but I have a strong feeling I'll stick with android, unless tizen makes a way to port all android apps.
In order to differentiate I feel they'll move too away from android.

AnonD-389748, 17 Nov 2015Tizen or Android will make no difference and if Tizen will ... moreIf there would be a Tizen Flagship with the following specs i would consider buying it:
- Waterproof ( and by this i mean MIL-x not IP-x)
- SD card
- lets say SD 820
- 3-4 GB Ram
- max 5.5 display
- min 3000 battery
We all know its never gonna happen though..
So I'll stick to Sony. The only brand that has true flagships, not wannabes..

Alien, 17 Nov 2015Get real.. if it's not Android or ios it will never be succ... moreTizen or Android will make no difference and if Tizen will have benefits like longer battery life and others, people WILL buy it. There is a reason why Samsung insisted on using and improving their TouchWiz. Samsung phones do not run "Android" (for the less educated (in tech) user or people who trust the brand name), they run TW. It makes no difference if behind TW is Tizen, Android or WhateverOS - if it looks the same, the only reason to choose one or another is the other features it offers. And Tizen will have part of the advantages that iOS has, to an extent. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of Android phone models but there will be only a few running Tizen so it will be easier for the developers to port their software and there will be a lot less issues, crashes etc.
And above all, competition is ALWAYS good. anyone who complains that there are too many choices is just an un-evolved troll.

Get real.. if it's not Android or ios it will never be successful in Europe and USA as a flagship device.
Tizen is sold most in Asia: India and China. And that's only cos they are budget phones - devices for non-techincal people.
Smart peope that want a flaghsip will never buy one with Tizen-who os.
Keep dreaming Sammy..

I used tizen z1.. And had a little test...
I sent a very very lond whatsapp message.. which is meant to make phons laggy while loading on xiaomi redmi 1s, grand max, z1.
And believe me, z1 was one that was unaffected.. no even slow down.. redmi 1s hanged for 8-10 sec and grand max 3-4 sec..
And dual core android phone like xolo a500 for 15-20 sec and single core samsung galaxy star showed a black screen and came jn sense after 30 sec..
This shows superiority of tizen

If Samsung want to make Tizen more popular, then get a Premium Version of this phone released and they will then see if it will become popular or a failure
