I think it's too soon...
I like the idea that Samsung choose to lauch low end phones in India, to help development...
But I think it's not the time to release a high end device with Tizen... It could just kill the OS...

We all know how that went with BadaOS. Those phones were high end for the time. 1GHz single core, superb SuperAMOLED screen, aluminium unibody case, super smooth, and then it all went down when Samsung decided to not really care about their own platform and then it just died.

AnonD-364786, 17 Nov 2015Probably tizen phones will have a kitchen sink too ;-)Yep, being able to change water temp with your phone sounds pretty cool. But the thing is there are already apps that sort of do that already. Having it integrated through OS would probably be much better though.

I would consider buying one, you have to remember that the underpinnings of this phone (and the Sailfish OS) from memory are Meego (and LiMo/SLP) which was handed over to the Linux Foundation by Nokia.

I tried to network smarthome items, but it requires so much research into the signal standards. It would be nice to have a standard for this. An OS to tie it all up would be ideal.

Tizen has potential. Anything that may get rid of that eyesore they call Android is welcome.

Tizen is not ready for high end phones; esp. since the markets where Tizen is present in, are aimed for the budget concious.
The ones that can splurge on a flag ship will get iOS or Android; maybe even the Lumia 950 XL.

AnonD-389748, 17 Nov 2015everyone can think of a dream-phone that would fulfill all ... moreJust two: waterproof and sd cards. These are the criterias i use to choose a flaghsip.
If it doesn't have them, it's not worth mentioning.
But hey, everyone has different needs. These are mine.
I really don't care what brand it is. Not a fan of anything.

I think the biggest draw-in for Tizen is that this OS will control many home appliances. Very useful for making your home a smarthome. Ties into Samsung's other lines of products really nicely if they get it right.

AnonD-364786, 17 Nov 2015Tizen ecosystem is expanding at rapid speed only in samsung... moreTheir software is good, and has many great features that are adopted by stock android, more than any other OEM. I prefer the interface of touchwiz too.

Alien, 17 Nov 2015If there would be a Tizen Flagship with the following specs... moreeveryone can think of a dream-phone that would fulfill all their needs, but we all know that is not possible to make :). which "true flagships" does Sony have? does the current Sony device (that I would assume you own) offer you all the features that you mentioned? you can dream all you want but when you come back to earth, Samsung will still have better phones than Sony - at least in 2015, who knows what will happen in the future. if only Sony has "true flagships", why isn't it profitable?
is there anything that the Sony "true flagship" does better than the not-so-"true flagship" from Samsung? name 3 things :D. anyone can name a lot more if they compare the other way. Sony is a huge brand name and usually a brand loved by many people, but be realistic, right now it barely exists on the smartphone market.

AnonD-389748, 17 Nov 2015Tizen or Android will make no difference and if Tizen will ... moreIf you think people buy Samsung because of TW you are completely wrong.
People but android phones even if it had got a bloat like TW.
