Haha...custom cores on newest exynos? Well everything will be revealed next year. For such score Samsung will need much more powerful cores. 1.8 and 2.2 kirin 16nm build up offers 94k on newest data. Samusng will have to go 16nm 2.5 and 2.0 for this score.

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2015Everything gets higher score with antutu v6.0, so no surpri... moreExcept this wasn't run on Antutu 6. It was run on a 5.x version, where the iPhone 6s Plus scored about 60,000.

AnonD-463876, 28 Nov 2015There are some, but not enough compared to SD powered hands... moreIt hardly matters. Over one year later and my Verizon Note 4 still doesn't have permanent root, let alone a bootloader unlock. I have zero custom roms to use.

AnonD-463876, 28 Nov 2015That's some nice speculations you have there. He's got to rationalize it somehow, otherwise the RDF might collapse around him and pull him into an alternate universe.

AnonD-463876, 28 Nov 2015LOL they already announced two versions, one running Exynos... moreThey haven't announced anything. Industry sources claim they're testing phones with both, but at this point it's all rumor.

New Exynos chip is so crazy blazing fast. Give a run for the money to Apple and Qualcomm. I will surely buy Galaxy S7. You all will regret not buying this. I guarantee its performance. Samsung forever!

regs, 29 Nov 2015No Samsung for me anymore. Got left with defective screen t... moreDon't be a lier because Samsung has good support for the clients and for software actualization, already since long time Samsung has good firmware support, only with the first Galaxy S and Tab series it wasn't like this but with the following series, Samsung did the job and your Galaxy S6 will be actualizated very soon, can not be in the date that you would want but will be soon. And Samsung has good 4K displays. Samsung hasn't only a student dealing with the firmware actualizations, has many technitians dealing with it. You guess that a big company like Samsung Electronics leave the job of make the firmware actualizations only for a student?

No Samsung for me anymore. Got left with defective screen that acts like TFT on my SGS6. Samsung service just bounced back defective screen saying - you still can see the picture somehow, then no problem. A premium device with subbrand budget service. I was also looking for 4K monitor. Now it definitely won't be Shamesung.
Not talking about poor software support. Just few devices will be updated to Marshmallow and within very very long time range. Looks like they have just a single student working on firmwares.

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2015Everything gets higher score with antutu v6.0, so no surpri... moreSource claims it's the same test that the kirin 950 did, and the kirin 950 was seen on antutu 5.x.
But maybe I'm wrong, since I haven't seen anything explicit on what test the s7 did.

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2015Everything gets higher score with antutu v6.0, so no surpri... moreWhere does it even state that AnTuTu v6 was used for the Exynos 8890 to score 103,692? Being that multiple articles are making reference to the 65,000/79,000/94,000 points scored by the Kirin 950 in AnTuTu v5.x.x around November 5, there's reason to believe that the 8890 was tested with a 5.x version as well. It wouldn't be an equal comparison otherwise. If you or anyone else has a source stating differently, please share.
In regards to the iPhone 6s, for the sake of argument, let's say that AnTuTu v6 was used, there's a HUGE difference between scoring 123,567 @ HD (1334x750px) versus the Galaxy S7's 103,692 @ QHD (2560x1440px) or possibly UHD (3840 x 2160px). I highly doubt the iPhone 6s would reach 65K at those resolutions.

AnonD-463876, 28 Nov 2015There are some, but not enough compared to SD powered hands... moreActually previous devices especially earlier Exynos ones had plenty equal rom support.
And even now a days half the issue lies within how locked down the phones are rather than just which SoC it has

Christian, 27 Nov 2015Ok i was wrong with the A8... But let not go personal.I hav... moreA9x is not the a9,don't even bother bringing it in here.
A quick Google search said the s6 got around 60000 in early tests, but in reality it was around 70000 when it came out. What we can conclude is that tester models are often improved before released, not the other way round. It was tested in a device like normal, not just a chip.

AnonD-471320, 28 Nov 2015Specify lags... Just search or compare with same range of p... morecomparing with other lag less phones honor 7 and moto x2 , doesn't feel any big difference in ui loading and switching. but games load faster in s6. honor 7 fingerprint feels more useful though. if you find any lag you can specify where, cannot compare with iPhone since ui is very different. don't trust those fanboy websites comparing and saying it lags. contact someone using the device and check yourself. no body still answered my challenge to specify where it lags. I have seen a fanboy website saying Apple a9x in ipad pro is much better than 6th gen Intel i5 in Microsoft surface pro 4. I hope you understand.
